How to Center Anchor Point in After Effects Tutorial

Hey everyone, and welcome to FilterGrade. https://filtergrade.com Anchor points are an important part of Adobe After Effects, especially when you start layering more and more effects and assets on top of each other. First, let’s cover what an anchor point is. This is a concept that exists in After Effects as well as other programs, and it is the point at which a transformation will originate on an asset. Essentially, this point “anchors” your transformation, so that no matter what you do, your transformations start in the same spot. In general, you’ll likely want a centered anchor point, although there are certainly cases in which you’ll want to pin an anchor point to another position. For example, adjusting an anchor point to a corner and adjusting the scale can be faster than moving both scale and position in order to get the perfect crop.
