victims
0:41
to just give you a little background
0:43
about this projector
0:45
a few years ago our grandfather passed
0:48
away
0:48
he was a really big film photographer
0:50
just a big
0:52
photographer in general really he took
0:54
photos of anything and everything he
0:56
always had his camera on him
0:58
and yeah it was just a really
1:02
kind of inadvertent inspiration in my
1:05
photography career that i never really
1:07
realized
1:08
but because i was so young when when he
1:11
passed but
1:12
it's it's interesting now because i'm
1:14
able to look through all of his old
1:16
stuff
1:17
some of our old family members saved his
1:19
old film slides
1:21
the projector and a lot of his other
1:23
stuff
1:24
and i finally was able to get my hands
1:26
on some of it
1:27
just to digitize it for the family and
1:30
send it out to them
1:31
when i first like saw the projector
1:34
itself i just started playing with it
1:36
pressing buttons seeing what it did
1:38
seeing how it works just pulling the
1:40
knobs
1:41
playing with the lenses things like that
1:43
and eventually you see
1:45
a photo on the wall and it's just a
1:48
really
1:48
really unique experience it's similar
1:52
to when you give someone a polaroid it's
1:55
that physical medium
1:56
and that physical vintage kind of
1:58
quality that just sets it apart from
2:00
just texting a photo to someone i think
2:04
when they go over to the carousel and
2:05
they see it on the projector
2:07
and then they go and look at the screen
2:10
and or the wall or wherever the photo is
2:11
being projected onto
2:13
and they see that actual photo it's just
2:14
a really incredible experience that you
2:17
can't really replicate anymore
2:19
obviously there's projectors now but
2:21
that film
2:23
projector like that carousel feel it's
2:26
just really
2:27
really fun to share with other people
2:30
this is specifically this is the kodak
2:33
carousel projector
2:34
autofocus model it's the 850h
2:37
in case you're interested in checking it
2:39
out it's really really cool and i'm
2:42
super excited and blessed to have gotten
2:45
my hands on this for my family so
2:47
thank you to them and i appreciate you
