In ancient times, they were kept exclusively in the imperial palaces, and severe punishment threatened for export outside the country. Now this aristocratic dog is kept in many homes around the world. Shih Tzu are easily tamed to the tray and do not require regular physical activity. The breed standards are as follows: Round head shape. Smooth muzzle, not long. On the muzzle there is a beard, a long mustache and strands of fur falling over the eyes. The ears are long, large and hanging, with a thick coat. The eyes are large, the color of the iris of which determines the color of the coat. The body is strong, rectangular and slightly elongated. Flat back. The tail is completely covered with hair, set high, and at the end the hair develops like a fan. The limbs are short, but strong. The coat of dogs is long, not curly. Any color is allowed, but at exhibitions, preference is always given to those individuals that have white strands on the tail and muzzle. Compact size is one of the main advantages of the breed.
