#papillon #papillons #proscons Those who are interested in the art of painting are probably familiar with the painting "Roberto Strozzi's Daughter" by the Italian painter Titian, the key image of which was a girl with a miniature dog in her arms. Four centuries later, it was this white and red pet that would be taken as a model for the breed of the now-popular Papillon. They got this unusual name because of the shape of their ears, resembling the wings of a butterfly (papillon means "butterfly" in French). This physiological peculiarity allowed these animals to become faithful favorites of Marie Antoinette, Madame de Pompadour, and other nobles of the royal courts of France and Spain. The dog is characterized by a particular gracefulness due to its thin skeleton. Depending on the gender, the weight of adults does not exceed 2.5 kg, and the height varies in the range of 20-28 cm. As mentioned above, the ears of the Papillon are quite large and densely covered with hair. Of the current varieties, the breed is recognized directly as Papillon, which is characterized by standing ears and phalenes. In the latter, they are drop-shaped and floppy. The luxurious long hair is not only awarded by nature to the auditory organ of the animal; its abundant accumulation is also observed on the tail and body rounded to the back. The standard color is considered to be white, diluted with various colored spots (except for red-brown and dark-brown shades). The distinctive feature of the paws is their medium height and thinness. The breed has a peculiar character. These pets can tirelessly amuse their feeders, reacting cheerfully to their caresses and cuddles. But feeling even the slightest hostility of a malevolent towards the owner, the papillon intuitively anticipates his actions, sharply turning into a formidable warrior. Meanwhile, this feature does not make his temper angry and callous. He does not accept rudeness and cruelty. _____________________ Please, subscribe to 1minanimals: @minanimals
