Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America and as the trial with Alvin
0:05
Bragg continues to go on, Donald Trump now faces the real possibility of jail time and the Secret
0:11
Service has stepped in. Before we get started, please make sure you like, comment, share and

So it looks like Judge Juan Merchant, Alvin Bragg, it looks like they have prison time for Donald
0:28
Trump on their minds. At least they keep toying with the idea and of course you see your late
0:33
night pundits and media hosts actually opining about this. Trump in jail, it's their dream
0:40
It is their, their, their, I can't say the word right, I can't say it that way. So I'll say it's
0:45
their lucid dream. Their lucid dream is to have Trump in jail and it looks like you know what
0:53
was once a far-fetched idea is now very serious because the Secret Service, who is charged with
0:59
taking care of former President Trump, has stepped in and given their notice and here's what they're
1:05
going to do about it. I'm going to play that video for you right now. I want to make sure you please
1:10
like, comment, share and subscribe. As always, let me know what you think about this story

I'm Carmine Sabia for Explain America. We love you guys. God bless you. Take care everybody

What do you make of the judges rebuking Trump's attorney like that? Well I'll tell you what Anderson, I've been in this situation and under relentless questioning
1:32
from a judge, sometimes an attorney is just out of ammo and I think that's exactly what happened
1:38
today with Todd Blanche and you know he can't retreat. He's got a difficult client. There's
1:45
no question in my mind that former President Trump violated the gag order, at least in part
1:52
Sometimes an attorney will look at you when you're the presiding judge and you know his eyes kind of
1:57
convey, look judge I got nothing. I mean I've used all the ammo that I have. Your attorney
2:03
panelists will identify with that. You've gotten that signal from an attorney every now and then
2:10
Yeah well you know they will and it's sort of a beseeching look. Sometimes I go to sidebar and
2:15
said look I know judge you want me to answer that question. I've given you all that I have
2:21
at this point. So it was like the charge of the light brigade. He had to just keep
2:25
going at that point until finally Merchant got frustrated and made that comment about his
2:30
credibility. I do have some empathy for him because frankly you know a lot of that was
2:35
indefensible and I don't think he had an explanation that he could render for it in good conscience
2:40
Judge the the Secret Service and other law enforcement are preparing for the very long
2:45
shot possibility I should say that Trump might be incarcerated for violating the gag order
2:51
It's highly unlikely it would ever get to that point isn't it? He's not going to incarcerate him I don't think under any circumstances. You know he could make
3:01
a statement and assess a financial penalty on some of the violations. I think the problem as I said
3:08
yesterday is that he's going to have to tighten this order up because there are instances where
3:17
there is a collision between you know the former president's first amendment rights
3:23
and what's happening here. There's another point that I would make here. I don't follow Michael
3:30
Cohen on social media but you know if I were the judge I might call the prosecution aside
3:36
and say look you know I know he's not your client but he's your witness tell him to stop
3:41
you know posting because in a sense you know he's inciting the former president. That's not
3:48
a justification for violating the gag order but you know fair is fair and I think you have to
3:54
manage this thing as it moves forward as the presiding judge. I think that's one option. He
3:59
could also drop a gag order on everybody I suppose. Ellie do you think any other defendant would have
4:03
been thrown in jail? That's pretty drastic. I mean let's understand first of all it's very rare
4:07
to have a gag order in place in any
