Hey ladies and gentlemen, tragedy has struck the family of one popular Fox News host and
0:06
they absolutely need our prayers. Before we get started, please make sure you like
0:11
comment, share and subscribe. Those little things really help us out and they help our
0:16
channel continue to grow. We've learned that Fox News host Brett Baer, his son had to have
0:25
open heart surgery. His son Paul has had this issue since birth and Brett had detailed before
0:35
that they went through a really tough time when he was born when they thought they would have lost
0:41
him or they could have lost him. Fortunately, they had the resources and the good doctors that
0:47
they were able to make the surgeries happen to give Paul the gift that God had given him
0:53
the gift of life. They were allowed to extend that. But Paul just was rushed into the hospital
1:01
at the age of 16 for open heart surgery and how it happened was really weird. He had a cold
1:06
just a regular cold, but his mother, Brett's wife, not taking any chances said, well
1:12
I want to get a chest x-ray anyway. Well, what they found was an aneurysm in his heart
1:19
and because of the mother's quick actions to get him that x-ray and then an MRI that
1:23
followed the x-ray, they found it in time and they performed a successful surgery where it
1:29
has been removed. Paul is said to be in great spirits. He's recovering well and, you know
1:36
things are going great by the grace of God for the Baer family. So I thank God, Jesus and the
1:43
Holy Spirit for laying their healing hands on Paul, laying his healing hands on Paul
1:49
and protecting and saving him. And, you know, the family still needs our prayers and I think we
1:57
should, you know, all join in praying for them. And I want you to watch this clip where his fill-in
2:04
host, Mike Emmanuel, actually talked about it and gave a status update on Paul's condition
2:10
And then please leave a comment, whatever you'd like, in the comment section. As always
2:15
please remember to like, comment, share and subscribe. I'm Carmine Sabia for Explain America
2:20
We love you guys. God bless you. Take care, everybody. So your Florida example is an interesting one. Vince, your thoughts
2:30
Well, I think the winners this week for me were seeing the union guys out in New York who met
2:35
with Donald Trump and were enthusiastic about that. It wasn't that long ago that it would be
2:39
an odd image to see union workers, trade guys who are out there supporting a Republican candidate
2:45
so enthusiastically. Not so anymore. I like to see a flourishing debate in American politics
2:50
And then loser, Adam Schiff. The guy had his luggage stolen in San Francisco this week. It's a city that's run by Democrats and he's running for a Democrat senate seat. He doesn't
2:58
really want to talk about it very much, but he's down a suit. All right, Olivia. My loser would be TikTok after President Biden signed the sell or ban bill that made it through
3:08
Congress. And my winner is at this table, Mike Emanuel, who was inducted into Rutgers Hall of
3:16
Fame. Congratulations. Thank you very much. Great honor. And you surprised me
3:22
Excellent. I'm touched by my alma mater and thank you very much for your kindness. I appreciate it
3:27
And I'm exercising my prerogative as Brett's fill-in with my own winner this week. It goes
3:32
to Dr. Eve Duda Kim, the chief of cardiac surgery at Children's National Hospital
3:38
He and his team of doctors and nurses at Children's are taking top-notch care of
3:43
Brett and Amy's 16-year-old son, Paul, who had to undergo emergency open-heart surgery yesterday
3:49
It is his fifth. This one was unexpected. But as you can see, Paul is already up and walking
3:56
He is hitting all of his marks and will be home soon, thanks to all the good folks at Children's
4:02
God bless Paul, Brett, Amy, and Daniel. And Brett will be back in this chair on Monday
4:15
It is Friday. That means it is
