Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America, and the Medical
0:04
Examiner has finally issued a cause of death for former President Obama and First Lady
0:10
Michelle Obama's personal chef. Before we get started, please make sure you like, comment, share, and subscribe
0:17
Those little things really help us out, and they help our channel continue to grow
0:23
So as you know, the reports indicated that the chef was paddle boarding at the time of
0:28
the accident, and another paddle boarder, a witness who has still not been named, saw
0:33
him go underwater, and he rushed over to try to help him, but by the time he got there
0:39
it was dark, you know, it was late at night, he couldn't get to him, and by the time he
0:43
was pulled from the water, he was already dead. It's an absolute tragedy, and we absolutely feel for the family so much, and our prayers
0:54
our thoughts and our prayers are with his family. But a lot of people have a lot of questions about how this could happen
1:03
There are reportedly videos of him swimming, you know, online and like training himself
1:09
in what he called survival skills, to swim. So what was it
1:16
The autopsy report apparently is not going to be made public. So the medical examiner issued the cause of death
1:22
He did say it was an accidental drowning, but that's all he said
1:26
Was there drugs in his system? Was there a heart attack? Did he have some kind of cramp
1:31
Did he bang his head? They're not so far going to make the autopsy public, and they don't have to in Boston or
1:38
in Massachusetts. They don't have to make it public. But that of course makes conspiracy theories kind of go crazy online, because when people
1:46
don't have all the information, they tend to fill in the gaps on their own, right
1:51
That's where conspiracy theories really come from. People start filling in the gaps
1:55
They start wondering, well, why aren't you releasing the information? Why aren't you telling us this and that
2:00
And there's usually reasons for it that are official reasons given by the official parties
2:05
But a lot of times people don't look for it. They don't want to hear it. They get enthralled with some conspiracy theory they find online
2:12
A lot of times those conspiracy theories have no basis in fact
2:16
Sometimes they do. Hey, sometimes conspiracy theories, you guys know this, sometimes conspiracy theories turn
2:22
out later on to be the truth. And that helps fuel future conspiracy theories
2:27
And the conspiracy theories get kind of more grand and more elaborate as time goes on
2:35
and more fanciful, really. I don't think there was a conspiracy here
2:39
I think there was a tragic accident here. And I think the videos you see online, he was training himself to swim
2:46
Apparently he was not much of a swimmer, and he was trying to learn how to swim
2:52
So the idea that you're getting online that he was a champion swimmer and things like that is not true
2:58
But he knew how to swim enough to stay above water. But if something happens to you in that water, and you're not a really good swimmer, you're
3:05
not an experienced swimmer, it could be deadly. And it looks like that's what happened here
3:11
We don't know, again, all the facts. Maybe in time the family will decide to let the autopsy become public, or let the details
3:17
become public to kind of squash any rumors. I would say that this man's memory shouldn't be used as fodder for conspiracy theories
3:25
It's not fair to him. It's not fair to his family. And it's not fair to the Obamas. It's not fair to anybody
3:30
But again, our thoughts and our prayers with his family, and with the Obamas, who were
3:36
very close to him, and they suffered a tragic loss in their life here too
3:40
Folks, I want your comments on this story. What do you think happened? Let me know
3:45
