You know, again, Israel and Hamas engaged in a brutal war right now, and to me there's two sides to this

There's good and there's evil, and that's the only two sides about it

There is no moral equivalency between Hamas and Israel. There is no moral equivalency between intentionally targeting women and children, or accidentally hitting women and children

Both are horrible, but there's no moral equivalency. Independent presidential candidate Cornel West was on Sean Hannity's show speaking to Hannity and Alan Dershowitz

when things, well, they got really heated over this matter. Let's take a look. You're a professor of theology. Don't you understand the moral difference between deliberately murdering a kid

and having collateral damage because there are human shields? You're running for president of the United States. What would you do

Let me tell you, let me ask the question. Let me ask the question. Okay

What would you do if they were firing, if terrorists were firing at American children in America

and the terrorists were hiding behind Palestinian children? Would you allow the killing of Americans to continue, or would you go and get the terrorists

even if it meant possibly collateral damage on Palestinians? What would you do

I'll tell you exactly what I would do. First, truth and morality tend to be two casualties in any context of war

I would want to tell the American people the truth. I would tell them what the context is, how we found ourselves in this situation

I would not jump for a military invasion and a genocidal attack on a..

A genocidal attack on Gaza. No, no, it's not a genocidal attack when you're killing terrorists

This is like Warsaw, 1943. Where do they go? Where do they go? Yes

Let me tell you where they go. Do they go to the UN? UN? From Gaza to Geneva

No, no, no. The UN has places in Gaza. The 11 UN people have been killed in the last few days

They go to Egypt. They go... Egypt had to get you out

But Gaza itself, the Gaza Strip, there's lots of room. The Israelis have said, get out of Gaza City. Go to Rafah. Go to Khan Younis. Go to other places

And you know what Hamas is saying? With no water, no food, no electricity. You know what Hamas is saying? Hamas is saying, don't go

I'm not here to defend Hamas. You are here... I'm not defending Hamas. Don't you ever lie to me like that

Did you ever... I'm defending the suffering of Palestinians and Hamas itself committing war crimes

I want to hear you say... Anybody who commits war crimes are barbaric. I'm saying that explicitly

But I want you to say, if the Israeli defense forces are killing children, are they barbaric too

No, no, no. Are they ever barbaric? No, no, no. If they target children..

Yes. Have they ever targeted children? No. Absolutely never. Never in the history..

In 78 years. Have they ever targeted a child deliberately? You've got to get off the crackpot, man. Please

No, no. They've never targeted a child. They killed one innocent person? Not purposely

Since 1948? No. Not purposely. Are they that pure? Are they that pristine

You don't have to be very pure not to kill a child. Not to kill a child

They killed 550... Because they're being used as human sheep. Now I know Dr. West comes from a place of love, really, and having a good heart and not wanting to see anybody die

I get that. But you're wrong here. There is no both sides of this

Israel's not intentionally targeting children and women the way Hamas did. It's a tragedy that women and children will be killed because Hamas uses them as human shields

That's a tragedy. Unfortunately, it's an unavoidable tragedy of war because Israel cannot allow Hamas to exist after what they just did

They have to stop it. They have to eradicate them. And Mr. West, you should know better
