Jill Biden went back and forth from France to Delaware for Hunter Biden's firearms trial

and that's not so bad. Hey look, that's a stepmom being there for her stepson

God bless her. Here's the problem. You paid for it. You paid for this trip back and forth

She didn't have to go to France. She could have stayed here in the United States and shown support

But she chose to fly back and forth at an enormous expense of over $300,000

That is a tremendous expenditure to jettison around the world for the first lady

And a lot of taxpayers are really, really angry about it and I don't blame them

It's not that we're paying for the first lady's travels. That goes to the territory

She needs secret service. She needs protection. She needs a private plane

All those things is absolutely needed for the first lady. I have no issue with any of that

But if you knew that your stepson needed you and you knew you were going to be at the trial

why would you go to France at all? That's the part. So you want to live the lavish life, the glamorous life, flying all over the world, flying to

Europe, being in France, you know, and all the pomp and circumstance and then you want

to be the concerned stepmother too. Pick a role here. Because we shouldn't have to pay for your image. Right

How about your image? That shouldn't be on the taxpayers. The taxpayers shouldn't have to pay for your, basically, promotional tour

I'm a great first lady but I'm also a concerned mom. You know

And listen, those things can both be true. But pick one. Pick one for a week

Decide to be there for your stepson or decide to be in France

But to charge the taxpayers so you can jettison around the world back and forth
