Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America and the ladies of

Those little things really help us out and they help our channel continue to grow
0:15
So the ladies of The View were talking about this new Jason Aldean song called Try That
0:20
in a Small Town. I'll give you a little backstory. The song talks about the 2020 riots, the Black Lives Matter and Antifa riots that occurred
0:29
in 2020 after the death of George Floyd. The video shows news footage of the riots and the gist of it is, alright, you can get
0:40
away with that in the big city, but as the title suggests, try that in a small town
0:45
It wouldn't fly. And so CMT, country music television, apparently not being aware of who their audience is
0:53
has removed this song and video from their network and this caused tremendous backlash
0:59
from Aldean fans and from conservatives in general. Censorship seems to be what they love to do on the left and it's kind of weird to see
1:07
country music television actually succumbing to that, but here's where we are in 2023
1:13
So the ladies of The View, as they do with every hot topic, weighed in on this and they
1:18
got it all wrong, of course. Whoopi Goldberg, Sonny Hostin, they were insisting that this is, the song is racist, it has racial
1:27
overtones, and then Sonny Hostin, very smugly, with a smirk on her face, had to read a legal
1:35
note from Jason Aldean's team which said there is no racism in this song
1:39
This song has nothing to do with race. Race is never mentioned. This is just talking about the situation in America at that time, you know, and how it
1:47
would be different in a small town. So Sonny Hostin then goes on to say that the place that Aldean is from, Macon, Georgia
1:56
is a known racist place. And you know the ladies of The View, right
2:00
They're not one to let facts get in the way of their story
2:04
So she's like, it's very known to be racist and she remembers as a kid when she would
2:09
be in Macon, Georgia, and how racist it was. It's just one problem
2:14
Macon, Georgia is a majority black community. So if there is anti-black racism in Macon, Georgia, who exactly is it coming from
2:23
I'm not saying there's not racist people in Macon, Georgia. There's racist people everywhere
2:28
But heavy, hardcore racism that's affecting black people in Macon, Georgia? Highly unlikely when you look at the demographics of Macon, Georgia
2:37
So again, just ridiculousness, more ridiculousness by Sonny Hostin. Also if you go to the main page of Macon, Georgia's website, very prominently it talks
2:48
about diversity and inclusion and all that stuff being a part of what they're trying
2:53
to accomplish in Macon, Georgia and what the mayor is trying to accomplish
2:58
So again, sometimes they just say things for the sake of saying them and they don't really
3:03
know what they're talking about on The View so very often. That's what I find
3:07
And I think that's what a lot of people find as well. So again, more nonsense from The View
3:12
And there you have it. I would love your comments on this story, guys
3:16
Also please remember to like, share, and subscribe. It really helps us out
