We are here with Marty and Mike, better
0:02
known as Shannondoa. I love them. I just
0:04
really love them. Let's start there. Um,
0:06
we are going back on the custom music
0:08
cruise together.
0:09
Yes, we are.
0:10
How are we feeling about that?
0:11
We We're feeling really, really good
0:13
about that.
0:14
Okay. What do you love about
0:16
seeing the artist?
0:18
Well, you know, we get to bring our
0:21
family and that means a lot. uh you know
0:25
you get a chance you know all week long
0:29
which you know you know how the country
0:30
music cruises are most of the time the
0:33
folks that were there last time they're
0:34
there the time after that so so you've
0:36
got friendship with people that you made
0:39
0:40
on the cruise you got time to actually
0:41
visit now here you just bump into each
0:43
other in the halls neck and that's kind
0:46
of on the cruise all those artist
0:51
get a chance to spend a whole week
0:57
way out there
0:59
together. It's a lot of fun.
1:00
I know. It's a tough job, but somebody
1:01
has to do it. I love the last time you
1:03
performed. You literally brought church.
1:05
You brought church during your
1:07
performance.
1:08
Yeah.
1:12
Well,
1:13
that that's a our faith means a great
1:17
deal, too. I mean, it really does.
1:19
And and what you'll find and what
1:21
literally what we continue to find out,
1:23
you know, across the country is there's
1:25
a lot of people out there that feel the
1:26
same way. You know, just for years and
1:29
years and years, you know, people were
1:30
told to keep their mouth shut about it.
1:33
Look, we, you know, we don't get real
1:35
preachy. Uh, you know, we have a little
1:38
say in and the rest of it cuz for one
1:40
thing, we don't ever seeing anybody. You
1:42
know, they look, they come to see a
1:44
country music show. they didn't come to
1:46
listen to preach it, you know, although,
1:49
you know, uh if the spirit hits, then
1:52
you know that don't happen all the time,
1:54
but uh when it's moving, you know, then
1:57
it's moving.
1:58
All right. Okay. So, here's a set that I
2:00
never thought would come out of my
2:02
mouth. You have a collaboration coming
2:04
out with
2:05
uh we we do.
2:07
We absolutely do.
2:08
Talk about it.
2:09
Oh, it's killing.
2:10
Yeah. How did this happen? Well, you
2:13
know, just just nothing more like what
2:15
Mike was talking about a while ago, how
2:17
you get a chance to sit down with
2:18
somebody and you get to see them, you
2:20
know, back and forth. We've been doing a
2:21
lot of those uh Rock the Country, Rock
2:24
the South together. Uh and the ones we
2:27
were on, Nickelback was on as well, too.
2:29
And Chad and I got to got to uh buddying
2:32
up and and everything. So, uh, we slot
2:35
numbers and, uh, Cole Johnston, our
2:39
manager, said, "Ma'am, why don't you
2:40
check why don't you check Chad and see
2:42
if he see if maybe he he might want to
2:44
put a put a vocal on a on a verse at
2:46
Church of the Road that really actually
2:49
sounds like a a Nickelback tune." So, I
2:52
did. I I texted him and he said, "Yeah."
2:55
And and literally that that's that's
2:57
exactly how that happened.
2:59
I love it. Can't wait. Good to see you
3:00
guys. I don't see you before. I'll see
3:02
you on the show. And listen, happy
3:04
holidays to you. Merry Christmas.
3:05
Thank you. Thank you very much.
