Hey guys, it's Gail with Everything Nash. We are here in the beautiful art gallery on the Country Music Cruise
0:05
where we got to see T. Graham Brown just did a valve renewal. How cool is that
0:09
It's fun! I do it every time I'm on the cruise. Really
0:13
I'm the guy. You're the guy. What's the couple that's been married the longest? Do you know
0:18
They had a couple in there that were married 60 years. I mean, there were a couple of couples that were married 60 years
0:27
Can you imagine? Nope. Sure, I can. Why do you like to do these cruises
0:34
Oh man, people love to come on them and they love on me and I get to love on them
0:42
I enjoy getting up there and singing for folks. You know, I got the best job in the world. I get to make people happy for a living
0:50
Yes, you do. So, that's kind of the way I look at it. And I love, I've been talking to the other artists, I love seeing everybody walk around this year and kind of interact with people
0:59
Yeah, well you're supposed to be visible, you know. That's part of the thing
1:05
People that come on these cruises, they want to be able to say, hey, have a picture made, get an autograph
1:15
Okay, so let's talk about your music. 1998, Wine and Water. Isn't that crazy? Does it feel like that long ago
1:23
Wow, it's hard to remember that far back. It's amazing. What would that be
1:31
26 years. Is it that long? Yeah. Well, you know, I hadn't cut an album for a few years in the 90s. It was not a very good decade for me recording-wise
1:46
We recorded that Wine and Water album in 1998 and that was kind of a comeback for me a little bit
1:55
But that song Wine and Water has just been passed around. It never was a big hit, but addicts, alcoholics, and their families and friends have passed that song around so much
2:09
They've just made a hit out of it. It's been viewed millions and millions of times
2:15
When we wrote that song, we had no idea it would touch as many people as it has
2:21
I got a message from a filmmaker in India the other day and they've made a feature film about it. It's just about Wine and Water
2:29
Like a Bollywood? Yes. Oh, my goodness. It's like a big movie. It's called Grace. He sent me the trailer. It's great
2:37
Boy, it's a heavy-duty drug deal, alcoholics. One guy kills himself and it's just serious. It's heavy
2:48
Okay, talk real quick too. I want to talk music. You have that SiriusXM channel that I love so much. Talk about why you do that
2:55
Oh, it's fun, man. It's called Live Wire and I play live cuts from artists' live albums. That's what it's all about, live music
3:04
I do one a month and they usually run an hour, hour and a half. There's no set time
3:13
They air it 10 times during the month on the Prime Country Channel so everybody gets a chance to hear it
3:18
Then if they subscribe to SiriusXM, there's an app you can download and it has its own demand so you can go back and listen to back episodes
3:29
I always have one of my friends. This month, coming up February, it will be Pam Tillis. I interviewed her or talked to her basically
3:41
I've had about five and a half years now so I've done 50-something interviews and never interviewed the same person
3:52
It's amazing. I didn't remember. I didn't believe there were that many artists around
3:57
Their format on Prime Country is country music from the year 1980 to 2000 so it's artists in that era that I've talked to
4:07
People enjoy it. It's like going from concert to concert. It's pretty neat
4:13
Somebody told me you're also working on an autobiography. Apparently you don't like to rest
4:18
I love to rest. Yeah, we're working on an autobiography. I've got to tell you, she was doing the wayline chair of it because she remembers everything
4:28
My memory's not that good. She'll remind me of things that I've told her and forgotten about
4:34
Yes, we do that. I get to be in movies every now and then
4:38
There's a movie coming out. It's called Nashville Wish. We did it a few years back and it's finally coming out
4:47
I saw it. I was a pretty decent actor in it. Music and tour this year
4:52
Yeah, we're calling it the I Tell It Like It Used To Be tour
4:56
We'll probably be doing 50 or 60 shows this year. I'm 69 and I don't want to work too hard
5:06
You don't have to work too hard. I get to do all these other things other than just sing. I'm having a great life
5:14
Good. Tinkerandbrown.com. Check him out, guys. Thanks so much. And Facebook and Instagram and X
5:20
