I apologize to how stupid and immature this post might be to you, but I am looking for some guidance if possible. I also recognize that I am an easily influenced person, and this is something I am trying to work on. I started working at a company about two years ago. About a year in I met a coworker who is 24 year old female. We became good friends. For some background information, I am in a heterosexual, long term relationship with my partner, and she is in a similar situation. For the past few years, I have been questioning my sexuality, but I haven't told anyone about it due to shame and fear. Also, because I am in a relationship with a man. My parents are homophobic and I haven't felt safe enough when I was a teenager to explore. At work I met this other girl, and I told my coworker friend about it when I was drunk. I was extremely embarrassed and paranoid she would tell everyone, especially because my boyfriend’s sister's best friend works with us. It could spread around the office like wildfire. Anyway, she didn’t seem to care and she and I go on with our friendship. A bit down the line she confesses that she's been cheating on her boyfriend for the past 4 years with an older man. And she is also cheating with her boyfriend’s best friend, as well as having regular sex with other friends in order to get money online. At this time, she confessed she has a crush on this older woman at work, and for the next few months she proceeded to pretend to the coworker she was mentally ill, fake a suicide and self-harm repeatedly for her attention. She would often stalk her house and befriended her daughters. She has this thing where she pretends to be mentally ill for attention, and that was how she has had repeated affairs because she makes everyone feel sorry for her.
