Bafang BBSHD Installation and ride 2019

The Bafang BBSHD has stood the test of time. In this video I will go over the basics of installation, using a Saracen Kili hardtail mountain bike, followed by a quick 4 mile test ride to demonstrate the capabilities of this great mid drive ebike motor. I have installed well over a hundred Bafang mid-drive kits and can usually do one from start to finish in under 3 hours - that includes tidying up all the wiring to make the finished ebike look neat. I have also taken some photos to show the Hailong battery installation. This can usually be problematic due to the alignment of the mounting plate holes with the bottle holder bosses. Removing the plastic cover to the rear of the connector block will reveal another slot on the battery mount, and drilling a hole just in front of the connector block, should allow perfect alignment for the battery mount - remember to use decent dome headed Allen bolts with locktite (and washers).
