It's David George Brooke, that gratitude guy speaking on behalf of the Columbia Tower Club
0:10
And are we excited the club is open again, it opened last Monday the 15th
0:15
And this is the Monday message for the week of the 22nd, the second week the club is open
0:22
And I was down there a couple days last week, man, it's exciting to be back there again
0:26
There's excuse me, social distancing, and hand sanitizing and masks and different things, but it's all working well
0:34
Let me just read something we will start with limited hours Monday through Wednesday is from 11am to 2pm and then Thursday and Friday is from 11am to 6pm
0:43
Our operations are updated to meet the precautions of the day with policies and procedures in place intended to keep everyone, members, guests and the whole team safe, happy and healthy
0:52
So we're excited about that. So we got some events coming up this week, as always, Thursday seems to be maybe one of the busiest days of the week
0:59
This Thursday on the 25th, we have the business etiquette in the COVID-19 environment with Arden Kleiss at 12 noon
1:06
Social distancing has made virtual meetings invaluable for staying socially connected and professionally
1:11
So video conferencing meetings may have you wondering what is and isn't appropriate and how best to communicate Hollywood Square style
1:20
I like that. Whether you are a virtual meeting newbie or pro, learn digital etiquette essentials and best practices to effectively and courteously communicate virtually
1:31
Arden Kleiss is a business etiquette expert and author of Spinach in Your Boss's Teeth
1:35
I know Arden, she's a great gal. Also on Thursday at 4.30 is the live virtual happy hour
1:40
That's been a great success. Seeing everybody up on the zoom screen, and those are the weekly zoom calls for all the members
1:47
Also at five o'clock is Mixology Minutes with MJ. He's always got some new concoction to whip up and you can tune into that on Instagram and Facebook
1:55
And then at 5.30 is because we are home with Jesse Rhodes, the Columbia Tower is partnering with member and motivational speaker Jesse Rhodes for live virtual meetups
2:05
That's I've been on a couple of those. Those are great. Then on Friday the 26th is the last in the Concerts at the Club series with Stephanie Ann Ball
2:13
That's at five o'clock. And this is the last one, as I mentioned, please don't miss it
2:17
I've tuned in a couple of times. It's been great. And then lastly, on Friday, the 26th is Quarantine Cooking with Chef at 5 p.m
2:26
And then in the following week, yours truly, the Gratitude Guy, is putting on a presentation called Overcoming Quarantine Fatigue
2:34
Something I feel very strongly about. That's on Tuesday, June 30th at 10 a.m
2:38
Pacific time. And that will be a zoom call. We'll have the link in the email as always
2:44
And I have a couple of questions here. Are you fed up with the shelter in place aspect of the pandemic
2:48
Are you looking for some tools to help? Do you need some new coping mechanisms
2:53
These are all things that this webinar zoom call will help. Please join us for the Quarantine Fatigue virtual zoom presentation in this very interactive, and it is interactive, 45 minute zoom meeting
3:05
You will learn multiple ways to help you deal with the constraints of this pandemic
3:10
Also, there's a national virtual programs coming up from Club Corps. And one is an example is on Saturday, excuse me, August 1st, Sports in Corks with Greg Norman, the well-known golfer
3:23
And that's on Saturday, August 1st at 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time
3:27
So there are more details and sign in links on your email that you get weekly from Brittany
3:32
And as far as Brittany is concerned, if you have any other ideas, please get them to her to let her know about things that you might want to do for presentations
3:39
We'll probably do these presentations through the end of June as we open up more and more at the club
3:44
And of course, don't forget our kitchen. The club eats to go. We have the meal kits, the hot food, the beer and wine, and of course, the grocery and pantry items
3:52
And they all need a two hour notification are available Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for curbside delivery and pickup
4:01
And then lastly, I'd like to include my gratitude tip of the day. And today it is try expressing your gratitude for you and some of the great qualities that you exhibit
4:11
We tend to be very hard on ourselves and expressing gratitude for yourself can really help your self-esteem
4:16
So think about three to five things that you have that are really great qualities and just kind of reflect on throughout the day and be grateful you have those qualities
4:23
And again, that helps the self-confidence in the self-esteem. So that's it for this week
4:28
We will see you next week. Pretty sure and have a great day. I hope to see you down at the club now that it's open again
4:33
It's so exciting. But to have a great have a grateful day to remember, be grateful and never quit
4:39
Thanks
