Hi, it's the Brooker That Gratitude Guy. New Year's Eve 2013, the last day of the
0:06
year. A perfect time to reflect back on 2013 as we get ready to shift into the
0:11
new year tomorrow and think about everything you're grateful for. Great opportunity to look back on those on those 12 months and think about all
0:18
those things from your health, your family, to your friends and one of the
0:22
reasons why it's so important to me to keep writing in that gratitude journal
0:26
every single day because it definitely makes a log. It keeps track of it. It's
0:30
something you can go back to and look at and think about all those wonderful things that happened to you and as you look forward to 2014, think about
0:37
everything you're going to be grateful for. I talk about that a lot on the gratitude journal. I'm so grateful for this today and I'm so grateful for this
0:44
tomorrow. Tomorrow is what you look forward to and program that prefrontal
0:48
cortex, that in subconscious part of your mind, to tell you what you're going to be
0:53
grateful for before it's even happened. So use this opportunity today as we
0:56
flip into the new year to think about everything you were grateful for in 2013
1:01
and everything you're going to be grateful for in 2014 and when you're
1:04
writing in those gratitude intentions in the gratitude tomorrow section on the
1:08
right hand side, write about it as if it's already happened. I'm so
1:13
grateful for the success I'm going to have with this. I'm so grateful for the phenomenal experience I'll have with my marriage, my relationships with my
1:20
children, whatever it might be. I'm so grateful for those great opportunities at work that have happened and specifically even talk about things like
1:27
I'm grateful for the example I'm going to have here of the great success
1:31
I'll have in this or that. So that's what programs that mind and it's a great
1:35
opportunity. So as we switch from 13 to 14, be thinking about that. Be writing
1:39
that gratitude journal every single day. It builds tremendous momentum. It's just
1:44
like every single step every day eventually leads to a mile. So think about that. Have a great New Year's Eve. Enjoy 2013 I'm sure but really be
1:52
looking 2014 or look forward to it rather with a great intensity and a
1:57
great attitude of being so grateful. An attitude of gratitude makes such a huge
2:01
difference. That's the message for 2013. Have a grateful day. We'll see you next
