TASTER: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheMrtaster BUY IRAN JERSEYS: http://www.eBay.com/usr/iranjersey After an incredible morning in and around Shiraz, I continued visiting more sites before ending my day with some incredible Iranian fast food! I linked back up with my friend Mr. Taster after he took the morning off, along with my friends at Kootook Travel. We’d be exploring the historical center of Shiraz, where you’ll find the citadel, the Grand Mosque, and the Grand Bazaar. We’d also be having some Persian hamburgers! SUBSCRIBE TO MY NEWSLETTER: https://bit.ly/3JR71yN MY TRAVEL BLOG: https://davidsbeenhere.com/ We started at the Citadel of Shiraz, which was the first citadel I’d seen in Iran. It dates back to the 18th century and used to be the governor’s house. It’s massive and beautiful and has 14-meter-tall watchtowers! Inside are gorgeous gardens and fountains. You can see the four towers from the courtyard, and there’s a hammam here with lots of intricate decorations on the walls. I could see pools and fountains inside. Back outside were vendors selling juices and sweets, including sohan! I loved them. They were crispy and tasty, with lots of cardamom. Further on, we saw shops selling carpets, copper work, and more. Unfortunately, the Vakil Mosque and Grand Bazaar were closed because it was a holiday. There were only a handful of vendors outside who were open, who were selling spices, clothing, and pottery. But we could still admire the incredible tilework on the exterior of the mosque. I loved the colors and the beautiful geometric designs. We arrived at a spice shop, where I tried a bit of cardamom from India. It tasted incredible! I bought 100 grams for $4.
