Join me and let’s close out Mombasa with a bang! Joining me on this market street food tour are my guides from Kumbukumbu Tours and my good friend and cameraman, Tasos. We tried a lentil samosa with a spicy tamarind vinaigrette, a potato fritter called viazi, and a donut-like sweet called mithai. I als had a fried fish called una (mackerel), bought some Maasai-made sandals, and tried a strawberry popsicle. STREET MARKET #2: At our second market of the day, I tried a sweet cake that’s usually called mandazi. MOMBASA: Back in Mombasa, we headed to Damascus Shawarma for some chicken shawarma. Then, I visited a local ice cream shop for a creamy and refreshing falooda to end my time in Mombasa! Where have you been?
