In Ethiopia eating raw meat is normal, and preferred over the cooked kind. Eating raw beef has existed for centuries in Ethiopia still until now amidst the hustle and bustle of Addis Ababa in 2026. I couldn't believe actually how many people were eating raw meat at 9:30am. I didn't see one other tourist but there was barley a seat left in this restaurant. Filled with locals chowing down on beef and chasing it with araki. Ethiopia is amazing and I'm glad I tried tere siga!
