Don't let the Shape of this WOOD Trick you!

Woodturning a night lamp out of a banksia nut and red epoxy resin. Do not let the shape trick your mind… I used transparent red resin as I wanted the light to shine through the voids. Once the nut was cast into the resin, it was time to shape it on the woodturning lathe. After some sanding, it was ready for a clear gloss lacquer to provide a high-gloss, premium finish.
