So I'm coming at you today from a different location because I want to talk to you about something a little bit different and I'm tired of doing it always from my home office
0:09
It's time to finally get out and enjoy the world a little bit. Now I'm going to apologize ahead of time for the sound because I am in the middle of a park and I can't account for what traffic and things might come by
0:20
So please excuse that. But let's go ahead and dive into what I want to talk to you about today and that is expanding your options for vacation
0:29
So the reason this came up is I was desperately looking for some vacations and because of budgetary reasons, I needed to look at someplace close
0:37
Also, I didn't want to travel for very long to get there. So I wanted something close that I could do that would be easy
0:43
The problem was I was looking at places that I had been to a thousand times and I already knew everything that was going on and it was the same things that were available to do
0:53
There was nothing new to see or experience or do. and it actually had me thinking about how we can actually create new opportunities, create new
1:05
vacation choices even if we're just going local. So this kind of idea didn't just stem from that
1:13
it also stemmed from COVID because when we were at home for so long and bored out of our minds
1:22
I remember I was scrolling through Groupon and came across something for scuba diving getting certified to go scuba diving And we always loved to go snorkeling in the past so I thought oh hey let go ahead and do this
1:34
It'll give us something to do, and maybe we'll get certified. And I live in California, so we could
1:38
just go to the beach nearby. Well, we went ahead and did that. We got certified. It was so much fun
1:45
It was so cool. But one thing that I didn't realize is that little new hobby that we expanded upon
1:51
or that we tried and got certified with opened up an entire new world of possibilities for vacation
1:58
Now we can explore an entirely new world quite literally. So anywhere we go, we can add scuba
2:06
diving and expand what is possible for us. So whether that is to a new destination, we're going
2:11
on a vacation next month where we're going to go scuba diving in the Caribbean. You can even
2:16
scuba dive in rivers, in craters, in lakes, it just opened up a whole new possibility of cool
2:22
things to do. So now with this hobby, not only does it open possibilities in those cities of
2:28
things that we can do, but it also creates a new genre of vacation that we can do. So we will seek
2:35
out opportunities to go explore all of the coolest places in the world to go scuba diving
2:40
whether it's the Great Barrier Reef or some really cool shipwreck or just an excuse to go
2:45
diving in every country in a certain continent or on every continent perhaps
2:50
It opened up a whole world of possibilities but it didn stop there A few months later my daughter and her boyfriend were doing indoor rock climbing and invited us along just to see what it like and we went and it was
3:03
so much fun. It not only is it a great workout because it's a really hard workout but it's
3:10
actually really interesting because each route that you do on the indoor rock climbing is a
3:15
puzzle in and of itself so not only are you trying to figure out how to do it in and growing
3:21
growing in strength and being able to do it, it actually makes it very interactive and fun
3:25
It doesn't really feel like a workout. It just feels like something you're trying to accomplish
3:29
and you're wanting to solve the puzzle. And we loved it so much that we joined our local gym
3:35
And as you can see, it's not always pretty, but every time we go, we're getting a little better
3:40
and growing in our strength and being able to do more. So once again, this new hobby now
3:46
has opened up an entire new world of vacation possibilities. Whether it is trying out cool new
3:52
indoor rock climbing gyms, which there are some crazy amazing indoor rock climbing gyms available
3:58
all across the world, or it is exploring outdoor rock climbing. Whether it's something local
4:04
because we live in Southern California, so going to somewhere like Joshua Tree or Yosemite
4:09
or going across the world, going to Switzerland or Scandinavia or South Africa, all these different
4:16
places now have opened up to us because we started this new hobby and now we can take
4:21
that next step and explore and create new things to do But it doesn have to be physical If you not a physical kind of person the new hobby that opens your possibilities does not have to be physical
4:32
It could be something like if you love baseball, maybe make it your mission or open your vacation
4:38
possibilities to see every stadium in America. Or if you like racing, go to every race in America
4:44
or just go to the big ones, Daytona or the Monte Carlo or Le Mans, whatever it is. If you explore
4:51
new hobbies, new things. You can use that to open your vacation possibilities. And from the smallest
4:58
hobby, maybe you collect, I don't know, stamps. Go collect stamps from each country in the world
5:05
or every continent or every state in America or whatever it is that you want to do. Think about
5:12
the things you've always wanted to learn, you've always wanted to delve into, or the things you
5:16
already do and turn it into ways that you can create a vacation out of it. How can you use it
5:21
to expand your vacation? And when you are going on vacation, how can you use it to create even more
5:26
amazing things to do that will be memorable, that will help to create absolutely fantastic vacations
5:35
Because that's what we do here. That's what we're interested in is helping you to create
5:39
amazing vacations. So if you are planning a vacation this year, this video is going to be
5:44
the one you're going to want to take a look at. And if you enjoyed this video, if you can give us
5:48
a thumbs up so we can reach more people. And other than that, thank you so much for stopping by today
5:53
I will see you on the next video. Take care. Bye-bye
