How will US trade court blocking Trump's tariffs impact UK business?
In an undeniably funny turn of events, President Donald Trump’s blanket 10 per cent tariffs have been blocked by the Court of International Trade. Yesterday, the judges of the Court of International Trade, appointed by presidents Reagan, Obama, and Trump, voted unanimously to block some of Trump’s tariffs. What does this mean for the UK, which has just signed a trade agreement with the US? The details of the deal haven’t been ironed out yet. UK negotiators will still try to get what they can out of the deal, especially because the court hasn’t blocked all tariffs. Steel, aluminium and cars – which are key UK exports – have gone through an entirely different, and much more thorough, process. The government said they are “working to ensure that businesses can benefit from the deal as quickly as possible and will confirm next steps in due course.” Click the link in our bio to get more of the story 🔗 #uk #tariffs #trump #donaldtrump #trade #tradedeal #tradewar #tariffwar #uscourt #economy #economics #politics #politicalnews #business #businessnews #businessgrowth #us #usa #usnews #uspolitics #ukpolitics #uknews #ukeconomy #ukbusiness #world #worldnews #trending
