Sir Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron have said they hope to make “good progress” on issues including migration and defence when they meet, Number 10 has said. Starmer has called for more cooperation between French and British authorities in reducing small boat crossings. But migration and defence are just two features of the upcoming summit between French and British officials, with discussions on Ukraine, trade and artificial intelligence set to feature heavily in talks.
