yeah bad news right now for winners of
0:03
the Ohio Lottery you might not be able
0:05
to collect your prize nobody wants to
0:07
hear that and it's all because of a
0:09
Christmas Eve cyber security attack
0:11
first at four 19's Angie Rodriguez spoke
0:14
to a frustrated
0:15
winner I played the lottery every day
0:19
and unfortunate I had a fortunately I
0:22
had a a hit on December
0:27
23rd and I've been trying to catch my
0:30
ticket ever since the 24th and every
0:32
time I go to the lottery store they say
0:35
they can't cash it Charles White won
0:37
over $800 but he can't cash his ticket
0:41
because the Ohio Lottery experienced a
0:43
cyber security attack December 24th in a
0:47
statement Ohio Lottery says they are
0:49
investigating and working quick to find
0:51
a fix for the players but right now
0:53
super retailers are not cashing prizes
0:56
over
0:57
$599 and even though the Ohio Lottery
1:00
says they're working on resolving this
1:02
issue some people just don't buy it man
1:05
his money yeah I I I agree what's unfair
1:10
many of these Lottery players say is
1:12
that Ohio lottery sales are still
1:15
happening that means players are
1:16
spending their own money but can't cash
1:19
in winnings over
1:21
$599 a lot of people don't even know
1:23
this the system is down you know so why
1:26
haven't they told us what's going on so
1:28
it doesn't make sense why why would you
1:31
do that to the people if you got a big
1:33
hit you can't get paid you know so you
1:35
should stop and say we setting it down
1:38
until everything is back to normal we
1:40
reached out to the Ohio Lottery for an
1:42
interview and they have yet to respond
1:44
their statement does say winners can
1:46
still claim prizes over the mail
