We hope you are ready for another TURKISH STREET FOOD video! Today, we are in the FOODIE city of Antakya (Hatay) to experience delicious Levent style food. Hatay’s cuisine is influenced by surrounding countries, so its Turkish food has its own unique taste. Stay tuned until the end for a Turkish dessert you’ve never seen before! Our breakfast at Humusçu İbrahi̇m Usta for a traditional bowl of hummus and foul (fava beans). We watched the chef prepare these healthy foods from scratch and he told us that he learned how to make this breakfast in Beirut, Lebanon before moving back to Hatay. It was delicious! Next, we venture deep into the market to try a local specialty known as Tepsi kebab (minced lamb baked in a tray). It was so juicy, flavourful and delicious! Watching the chefs prepare the dish was insane! Also in the market was a traditional cafe serving amazing künefe and charcoal coffee. The künefe was made fresh and all handmade. To finish our day of eating in Turkey, we went to an old dessert shop serving the pink Haytali, which is a pudding with rose water syrup. We’ve never had anything like it before!
