We are taking you on the ULTIMATE street food tour across Lahore! This is our second episode from our Pakistani Street Food series, and we are eating all of the BEST Lahori dishes that we didn’t try in the first episode. We start the day with a traditional Pakistani breakfast - Chanay (boiled chickpeas stewed with spices and vegetables). It was served with fresh naan. Our second breakfast was Lahore’s famous Nihari (rich stew with slow cooked beef, bone marrow and brain). This dish is especially popular in the winter! Next we hopped in a rickshaw that took us into the centre of the Walled City so we could visit Wazir Khan Mosque, which is a gorgeous 17th century mosque with a bird’s eye view over the ancient city. For dinner, we tried a traditional Punjabi Fish Fry (river fish coated in gram flour and deep fried) which was served with a delicious apricot chutney. We also tried arguably Lahore’s BEST dish - Karahi (mutton or chicken cooked with tomatoes, chilies, cream and spices). Karahi refers to the pot it is cooked in. It was MASSIVE!!! We finished our HUGE day of eating Pakistani food with Pakistani sweets - a triple halwa plate: pumpkin halwa, carrot halwa, and lentil halwa. Want to visit these places yourself? We highly recommend booking your Pakistani travel experience with Manaky. This adventure through Pakistan would not have been possible without their expertise in travel and amazing hospitality: https://www.manaky.com 1 - Goga Naqeebia Chanay Anarkali Food St, Anarkali Bazaar Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan 2 - Waris Nihari
