Layered Felt Sculpture Locked into an Acrylic Frame

Each sculpture is built from hundreds of individually cut and laminated felt layers…..two colors fused into a single sheet, then stacked and glued. The frame isn’t just presentation, it’s structural. It compresses everything into place, stabilizing the layers so the piece holds over time. What I keep coming back to is the visual shift: From a distance, the two colors optically blend into one.
