Tesla Returns to California – What Does This Mean for Jobs?

Tesla’s engineering headquarters will return to California and be closer to Twitter’s main location. In a news conference Wednesday with California Gov. Gavin Newsom, the billionaire CEO revealed the relocation. Tesla’s Austin-area “gigafactory” is different from the new technical HQ. In 2021, the engineering HQ and business headquarters moved to Austin, closer to the plant and SpaceX launch site.
