How to hike Angels Landing | Zion Guide

Angel's Landing is one of the most famous hikes in the national park system

And to be completely honest, Angel's Landing is tough. It's a strenuous 5.4 mile hike lasting about 4 hours

There's an elevation change of about 1,500 feet, with sheer drop-offs on both sides of

the trail. The last section goes up a steep, narrow ridge to the summit

So let's start at the beginning. at its best spring through fall. In wintertime, the ice makes this a really risky path. In the

summer, your best time is to start early in the morning before the rising heat becomes uncomfortable

Thank you it a steady climb up so take it at your own pace and make sure you have all the water you

need for this segment there are no fountains here at the top of walter's wiggles is a viewpoint

called Scout Lookout just at the top of the ridge. This is a great resting point and a moment to take in the view before you continue on a trickier part of the trail

There are even primitive toilets here, but we're going to go all the way. The final half mile has a sharp incline
