Welcome to another episode of Bite Size Reviews, where I review a product in 60 seconds or less

Today we're reviewing Guinness Gingerbread Stout. This imperial gingerbread spice stout was brewed
0:09
with allspice, ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and then aged in Kentucky bourbon barrels
0:13
and comes in at 11% ABV. Really great color on it here, so let's go ahead and give it a taste
0:18
Cheers. Ooh, I like this. Lots of holiday spices there. I can definitely taste the gingerbread
0:23
Not so much the bourbon. I would expect there to be a little bit more of a richness to it
0:27
It does feel a little chocolatey on the finish, so that's probably the impact of the bourbon barrels, but other than that, I would never guess
0:32
I was afraid the gingerbread flavor would be overpowering, but it's actually pretty subtle and overall, this drink's pretty light for a bourbon barrel aged beer
0:39
It's also lower proof than a lot of the other ones I've seen, but as a 4 pack for $20, this comes out to $5 a bottle
0:44
It's one of the more approachable bourbon barrel stouts, so I'll give it that. Are there more complex and interesting bourbon barrel aged beers
0:50
Of course, but for the price, I definitely give this a recommendation. Thank y'all for watching, this has been Bourbon Bites, and I'll see y'all next time. Cheers
