You only need 5 Whiskies, ADHD Whiskey Edition

Hey guys and welcome to Bourbon Bites Whiskey Reviews with a gaming twist
0:12
I am Clifton and I am here for a follow-up on last year's 5 Whiskies video trend
0:18
If you missed my video last year, I'll put a link to it up there as well as the end of this video. So definitely check that out
0:23
But our friend Matt from ADHD Whiskey just challenged us to a new 2021 version of this challenge
0:32
And I appreciate him tagging me. It did make me feel a little warm and fuzzy inside, but not as warm and fuzzy as this whiskey is going to make me feel
0:38
Boom, ! Let's get to it. So this first whiskey in this challenge is the Entry Buzz Whiskey
0:43
This whiskey is the one you drink to get your night started. I gotta say, when I'm trying to get my night going, I don't start straight out with a whiskey
0:50
I love a good cocktail. So my recommendation is this High West Manhattan barrel-aged cocktail
0:56
So they took some rye whiskey, some bourbon whiskey, some bitters, and some vermouth, finished it in a barrel, and then bottled it for our enjoyment
1:03
Now I do plan to do a full review of this and their barreled old-fashioned, but I really can't think of a better way to start the night than pouring a cocktail
1:10
you know, getting to know someone, especially if they may be new to whiskey. A cocktail is always the way to go, and having it in a bottle makes it that much more convenient
1:17
Now if you don have one of these I still recommend making something simple like a Manhattan or fashioned a very spirit forward whiskey cocktail But I think something like that will really open people up especially if they aren quite your typical whiskey drinker
1:31
I like to ease my way into the higher proof. So I think starting with a cocktail is the way to go
1:36
Now, number two on Matt's list is a current favorite. This is something that you are really
1:40
enjoying in the moment. May not be a favorite overall, but it's something that you've been really drinking a lot of lately. And I got to say, I've been drinking a heck of a lot of Wilderness
1:47
trail rye now this comes in at 110 proof so it's barrel proof but I'm really really enjoying what
1:53
I'm getting out of this bottle it's very rye forward but it drinks a lot more like a cast
1:58
print bourbon there's that viscosity the really really complex flavors and I will say I have had
2:02
a barrel pick of this this is just the regular one but my friend had a barrel pick and oh my god
2:06
it blew my mind so if you happen to see one of those definitely pick it up but even the regular
2:11
off-the-shelf stuff it's just a really enjoyable pour now number three is a little known bottle
2:15
but you pull it out to look cool. Gotta have a little bit of a hipster whiskey on deck for your
2:20
whiskey-loving friends. They're like, oh, you've got the Blantons, you've got the Eagle Rare. Well
2:24
maybe, but do you have Woodinville? While Woodinville is a little popular among the
2:28
whiskey tube community, I think that the average, you know, whiskey drinker may not be aware of this
2:33
whiskey. I happen to have the Applewood Stave 100 Proof Edition thanks to my patron and supporter
2:38
Patrick Starkey who sent me this bottle But really everything I had from them has been really really good And I think it really cool to have a West Coast whiskey especially being based in southern California having something from the same coast as you especially for a lot of people that you know we know bourbon drinkers may drink a lot of
2:53
this but people that are into whiskey in general may not have tried Woodinville so I always think
2:57
this is a great bottle to pull out and impress those guests that want something a little different
3:02
Now number four is the whiskey you pull out just to rub in your friend's face a little bit
3:06
Yes I'm talking about that whiskey that was maybe limited edition or it's a vintage release you can't
3:10
get anymore. But for me, my number four whiskey has to go to this lovely Single Cast Nation
3:17
Pre-Fire Heaven Hill. This 24-year-old bourbon was distilled in 1994, spent half of its life in
3:24
Kentucky and the other half in Scotland, was bottled, sent back to the U.S. at Cast Strength
3:29
and holy crap, this is honestly one of the most delicious things I've ever tried. A lot of you
3:35
guys may know Single Cast Nation based on their Scotch releases, but every once in a while, they
3:39
put out a bourbon and it is just mind-blowing. I did a full review of this on YouTube so if you
3:45
missed that I'm gonna put it up here but trust me you want to see it and hear my thoughts on this
3:49
one. Now before we get to the final whiskey on this list I do want to give a quick shout out to
3:53
our whiskey and gaming lounge on discord. If you guys have not yet joined it it is an open community
3:58

4:04
want to be a part of that you don have to be a patron Patrons do get certain tier status but you can join at bourbonbites Put the link down in the description below By the way if you made it this far in the video and you liking what you seeing so far make sure to hit that thumbs

up button down below. It really does help the channel. And if you want to see more of my content, you can always hit subscribe and the bell button to be notified every time I go live. I go live on
4:24
Thursdays and Saturdays, but I also do videos like this every now and then. So if you're liking what
4:28
you see, I would love if you could stick around. And finally, whiskey number five is a great
4:34
long pour bottle. This is the bottle you can pour from and you will not spill a drop. So I think for
4:40
a perfect long pour, you gotta have a tall bottle with a long neck. Yes, I am pointing to you
4:47
Eagle Rare. Seriously, look how long this neck is. Now, I would normally recommend the Girthy
4:52
1.75 liter bottle of this, but you know, you work with what you got. So before I end this video with
4:58
a long pour, I do want to ask, what are your five picks for these whiskeys? Even if you've already
5:03
comment on another WhiskeyTubers video, please copy and paste your response down below because
5:07
I really want to hear what you guys would pick for each of these. But until next time
