Lay's "Passport to Flavor" Taste Test - (Global Potato Chip Flavors!)

Hey, what's up you guys? So today I'm trying out the new Lay's Passports of Flavor Global Flavor chips

There's four different ones. So there is the Brazilian Picanha, Indian Tikka Masala, Chinese Sichuan Chicken, and Greek Tzatziki

I probably butchered all those names, but I've seen these in the grocery store and I saw a couple of the YouTubers, Emmy Made in Japan and a few others, doing reviews of these chips

So I thought, why not give it a shot? So I figured I'd start with a Brazilian picanha because of the Rio Olympics

Go Team USA! Smells like cucumber-y, kind of, in a way. Kind of like a salty cucumber, if that makes sense

So they look kind of like sour cream and onion chips. They have green flakes all over them

So let's give it a taste. It's a very, like, pulled pork-type flavor, if that makes sense

Picanha, the finest cut of Brazilian steak, is skewered grilled with coarse salt to lock in the flavor

Mix in the bright flavors of chimichurri sauce and you'll be saying mas por favor

So that explains the steak flavor. So like if you mix pulled pork with like cucumber salsa, that's pretty good

Actually, I really like this flavor. It's going to be kind of hard to beat. Next up, we have the Chinese Skechuan chicken

I really love Chinese food, so I'm really excited about these. Ooh that smells like Chinese food Yeah I going to like these So they kind of just look like barbecue chips so i don know if you can kind of see they kind of like orange tinted They also have some looks like green flakes as well in these

Kind of similar to the last ones. Oh! It's really spicy, or it's not really spicy, but it's like, got a kick to it

Don't really taste the chicken though. No, it kind of just tastes like, like chili powder or something

The bag says, the regional Sichuan pepper is where takeout favorite Sichuan chicken gets its name

Why wait for delivery? We've got the tongue tingling sensation of mala right here

So I guess that explains the pepper taste. It's kind of disappointing. I kind of wanted it to taste like Chinese food, so a little let down on that one

Next up is Greek tzatziki. I'm probably saying that so wrong. But I have had this dish before, so hopefully it maintains the same flavors as the actual food

The bag says, when the Greeks mixed dill, garlic, and other unique spices to yogurt, tzatziki became a Mediterranean classic

There's no doubt this creamy flavor will have you saying, Opa! The struggles of opening a bag with one hand

Ooh, these are very fragrant. It kind of just smells like, like, soured milk, if that makes sense

It's like a, I mean, I don't know. It kind of smells good

It's like a good kind of soured milk. But yeah, I'm definitely getting like a dill, um

It doesn really smell like garlic to me I don know maybe my scent off So these are wavy versions of the chips So I prefer wavy chips And again these have the green speckles on them that look just like sour cream and onion

So let's try. Ooh. That tastes completely different than it smells. It's kind of definitely, definitely got a dill taste to it

I like these. I'm curious how they taste compared to the dill laced potato chips

I imagine it's probably a pretty similar taste. I'm not really getting any other flavors, I guess a slight hint of garlic

But yeah, if you want dill potato chips, I think these are really good and they're probably better than the real dill ones

That comes pretty close to the Brazilian picanha, but I don't think it actually beats the flavor

So hopefully the Indian tikka masala proves me wrong. I've heard that these are really good so I was saving the best for last, hopefully

Packed with flavorful spices like turmeric and cumin, which I'm not a huge cumin fan

the tomato-based dish tikka masala is a fixture in global cuisine. this flavor and bring some kushi? kushi to your day? I guess that's an Indian word. I like it

I'm gonna start using kushi. Oh yeah, these definitely smell like Indian food. I like some

Indian food, but anything without spice I'm just not a huge fan of. Hopefully with these, they are

better than they smell. So these are not wavy chips. Again, more green spices. These kind of

that kind of barbecue look to them So let give it a taste Oh Well okay So it does have those flavors in it but it has like a sweetness to it that I

don't mind actually. Still a little strong. It's definitely not my favorite. Um, but if you really

like Indian food, then yeah, these are really good. And I can imagine like you loving these

So don't listen to my opinion. If you love Indian food, if you're kind of weird about that spice mixture, then maybe avoid these, but honestly, they're not that bad. Not as bad as I expected

So after trying all these, I think I'm gonna have to pick the Brazilian picanha as my favorite flavor

It just has a really good, like, meat steak taste to it. It kind of tastes like pulled pork to me personally, but..

Yeah. Definitely my favorite. I think it's a unique flavor. It's different enough from other flavors that I love it

So if you haven't tried these yet, I definitely recommend trying them. At least pick out one that's your favorite dish

The bag says they're $3.29, but I'm pretty sure I just paid $2.50 for these at Walmart

So you collect codes from the bag and you redeem them to collect airline miles. That's pretty cool
