Do you ever find yourself in need of additional photos, but there's no one there to take photos of you
0:03
Don't worry, you don't need a boyfriend, girlfriend, colleague, sibling, anyone else to take amazing photos
0:08
You can use your camera, you can use your cell phone. So here is the Sony app that I'm using right now, that I've been using for a couple of months now
0:16
I don't know how I didn't discover it earlier, where it's really great to be able to control your camera right from here
0:21
So I can right now, I can stop this recording. I'll start the recording again right here
0:26
So you don't need anyone else's help. Just the app for your cell phone, your camera, a tripod, good to go
0:31
So I'll put links to all the different apps from the different camera companies down below in the description
0:35
I think most of them essentially have an app like this, where you can easily control your camera
0:40
So I can set up the shutter speed, the aperture, the ISO, stop and start the recording
0:46
And the same thing, there's a bunch of settings for taking photos. So with all that said, why don't we go outside and take some pictures
0:52
Okay, so here we are in Mexico City near Cibeles. So I love the trees kind of on both sides
0:57
And I think the pictures are going to turn out really well. One thing to keep in mind and how we're going to take all the pictures today
1:02
is there's basically, instead of taking one picture at a time, you basically flip a switch and it takes as many photos as it can until you turn it off
1:10
This for me has worked out much better because you don't have to worry about hitting the button
1:13
you know, every second or couple seconds. And then there's a little bit of a delay. So you're not really sure what you're taking a picture of
1:19
I tried actually doing this running. And so, you know, I was running by and then I took like a hundred pictures
1:24
And I was not in frame for any of them. And then I figured out that you could turn on the multiple photos
1:30
And that way it's going to take 50 photos within the period of 30 seconds or something like that
1:35
And so you're going to be in frame, in focus for at least one of them
1:39
I would rather take too many pictures and then delete them later. So if your camera and app have a similar mode
1:45
I definitely recommend doing that when you're taking pictures by yourself. So another great use for this setup is being a tourist
1:57
So you can take your camera out with you, set it up, get pictures in front of monuments
2:01
And you don't have to ask a random stranger to take your picture or worry about them taking your camera
2:12
So one of my favorite places to kind of soak up the scenery, kind of relax a little bit
2:16
is right here in front of the angel statue in Mexico City. So you can see it right here
2:22
But I really like these benches as well for taking pictures. So if you want to look extra smart, kind of bring some props
2:28
You can be kind of taking notes, maybe thinking a little bit, doing something like that
2:33
Let's see how the pictures turn out. So just finished up taking the last photos at my favorite coffee shop here in Mexico City called Cafe Colorado
2:45
Had my notebook, was taking some notes. Obviously, in a place like this, maybe have your laptop out, have your noise-canceling headphones on, get creative
2:52
and you can make the pictures look like you were here getting some work done, but you got pictures while you were doing it
3:03
So what'd you think? We were able to get some good photos from our little photo shoot wandering around the city
3:07
So I just spent, I think, around two hours wandering around, stopped a couple places, took some pictures
3:12
Obviously, if I wanted to do this well, I would maybe bring some more props to the coffee shop, like, you know, my headphones, maybe my laptop, something like that
3:20
Also bring different changes of clothes so I'm not just wearing the same t-shirt in every single photo
3:24
But I did this to kind of show a demonstration of how easy it is to just take your camera, your phone
3:29
and take a whole bunch of pictures. You don't need anyone else's help. If you want to learn more about how to take amazing pictures, check out the playlist right here

Hope to see you in those and future videos. Bye-bye
