Welcome to our daily encounter with the Word of God! Today we reflect on the readings from the Book of Deuteronomy (Deuteronomy 34:1-12) and the Gospel according to Saint Matthew (Matthew 18:15-20). These passages speak to us about faithful leadership, obedience, and the power of reconciliation. First Reading (Deuteronomy 34:1-12): In this moving passage, Moses sees the Promised Land from Mount Nebo but does not enter it. After a lifetime of faithfulness, he dies according to the Lord's will. The people mourn his passing, and Joshua, filled with the spirit of wisdom, takes on the leadership. Moses is remembered as the greatest of prophets, with whom God spoke face to face. This reading teaches us the value of completing the mission God entrusts to us, even if we don鈥檛 witness all its fruits. Moses inspires us to walk in faith and perseverance, knowing that the true reward lies in communion with God. Gospel (Matthew 18:15-20): Jesus teaches how to respond when a brother sins against us. He outlines a path of dialogue, fraternal correction, and reconciliation. Moreover, He assures us that wherever two or three are gathered in His name, He is present among them. This Gospel invites us to foster relationships rooted in love, truth, and forgiveness. The Lord calls us to be agents of unity, overcoming conflict through mercy. Reflection and Call to Conversion Today's readings call us to trust in God's ways, to serve humbly, and to seek peace with one another. God's presence is revealed both in the silent faithfulness of our mission and in the restored communion between hearts. May these passages strengthen your faith and inspire you to walk in love and unity!
