In 1927, Detroit completed construction on the Ambassador Bridge, 3 year later also completing the Windsor Tunnel. 8 years after that, another bridge was completed 55 miles to the north, the Blue Water bridge. Those just so happen to be the only three international crossings from lower Michigan to Canada, even now 80 years later. The country has changed alot since then, and specifically in Detroit.
