forget it's right on our doorstep and

the idea of it is to give a platform for

all our young performers dancers singers

to get on stage and have this

professional experience at Benidorm

Palace so yeah it was a brainchild of

mine to sort of think having my own

and collaborate to celebrate dance

Sunday March 26 at Benidorm Palace it is

a time to shine with 270 children so

it's quite an event it's quite a big

thing to put together but we were there

on Saturday doing the technical

rehearsal and it's looking spanking it's

amazing there's such diversity we've got

Flamenco we've got tap we've got hip-hop

we've got Street dance musical theater

it's a massive array with seven

different schools participating now this

um uh it's not a competition no it's

non-competitive right because I think

there are competitions out there and a

lot of the schools do compete however I

think sometimes it's nice to remember

that actually dance is about performance

and yes there's a competition in that

you know somehow like if you're

auditioning as a professional but for

the average child that goes to a dancing

school they're doing it because they

love it and sometimes they don't have

that they don't want to go into the

company it's quite scary so they don't

necessarily get that opportunity so yeah

it's a non-competitive celebration of

dance that's how I like to look at it

and that we're all supporting each other

and as a network of dance schools that's

really important that we do support each

other and respect each other not compete

all the time

so logistically is that going that's not

a job you want to take on surely it's

it's a big ask it's it's um but it's a

lot of collaboration I have to get all

the information from all the dance

teachers and then if it's a running

professionally West End Etc then I went

production on there in Ibiza and then

yeah basically led to me having my own

dancing school now in more retirement

age and that is when I just thought

listen there's this Market that we need

to give these kids a professional

opportunity you know not just doing it

in a local theater it's brilliant and we

have the Drone footage on the day so

kids are all outside cheering and

they've all got their t-shirts on of

their schools it's fantastic it really

is excellent so um now we need bums on

seats I mean you've yes no doubt got

plenty anyway but this is this is a show

not to be missed isn't it absolutely and

again we don't force the parents to pay

any money to be participating in it we

used to sort of say listen if everyone

many a time it's so good I took my my

daughter there for her I think it was a

but yeah it is a night of opulence and I

children I think the youngest is five up
