When you ask why dogs don't live as long as humans, psychology gives a heartbreaking answer. Dogs understand life differently. They love harder, forgive faster, and live completely in the moment. Humans spend their whole lives learning how to love. But dogs are born knowing. Their purpose isn't to stay long. It's to teach us how to live right. Every wag of the tail, every excited run to the door is a lesson in joy and presence. They don't waste time holding grudges or pretending they don't care. They love you with everything they have every single day. And maybe that's why they don't need as much time as we do because they already live the perfect life. One filled with loyalty, forgiveness, and unconditional love. So when a dog leaves, it's not because life was unfair. It's because their soul already finished its purpose. They came, they loved, and they made us better. And that kind of life doesn't need to be long to be complete.
