The Ford Skyliner, or more properly known as the Ford Fairlane 500 Galaxie Skyliner, was the first hardtop convertible to reach four and five digit production numbers during its 1957-1959 run. The mechanics of its "Hide-Away Hardtop," as it was marketed, was an engineering feat at the time. Check out this 1959 model opening up!
