A $6,000 Harley?! | 2027 Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 First Ride Review
Nov 5, 2026
Has Harley-Davidson finally cracked the code for attracting a new generation of riders?
After years of facing criticism for high price tags, heavy platforms, and lukewarm previous attempts like the Street 500 and 750, The Motor Company reached into its storied past to revive an iconic nameplate: the Sprint. Originally built in 1961 alongside Aermacchi to bring fresh faces to the brand, the 2027 Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 takes a similar international approach—collaborating with Hero MotoCorp on the X440 platform, but re-engineering roughly 65% of the machine with authentic Harley design, testing, and York, PA domestic assembly.
The biggest kicker? An MSRP of just $5,999.
We traveled to Barcelona, Spain, to put the all-new Single-cylinder cruiser to the test across congested city streets and sweeping coastal roads. Join Road Test Editor Troy Siahaan as he dives into its 440cc engine, approachable 26.4-inch seat height, handling manners, suspension compliance, and fit-and-finish — and determine whether this $6K cruiser is truly the gateway bike Harley needed.
