Dave Taylor here and I'm looking at backpacks, specifically this. This is the new Solo Elite

backpack and it is a pretty sweet pack. So let's go through. First thing you notice is that it has

the rain cover. We'll unclip this because it's designed for the modern multi-purpose person. So

we open up this large section and let's get the zippers. And by the way, really cool zippers. They

all have little pulls on them. And you have a compartment really kind of designed for shoes

but obviously you can put anything you want in here. It is a big, deep compartment. You can easily

put in a whole bunch of textbooks. And then notice there are two zippered pockets here

one of which with a nylon mesh. That would obviously be good for smartphones. And if

you didn want to put it there then there also let see a zipper here So you could put your phone here and whatever else you want to put there Of course anything you can put anywhere And where this gets really interesting though is let move this flap back and open up the main compartment

because modern kids and modern people that use backpacks don't just carry around shoes and books

They carry around computers. So, this backpack has plenty of space and size to carry even a 17-inch big heavy gamer laptop

Now, the finish of it is that it's a smooth nylon. They're all sports-grade zippers, and the zippers are all designed, from my eyeball at least, to be at least water-resistant

Now, what you don't get on it is you don't get one of those sort of exterior pockets for a water bottle or a can of soda or something

But I suppose you could use one of these for that. Or you can just figure out and maybe just tie it to one of these with a carbiner or something

So a carabiner, that's the word. but I really like what they've done with this backpack. It's really tough and durable
