Tired of boring power chargers? Let's check this one out
0:11
Dave Taylor here, and I've got a lot of devices to charge all the time. I'm constantly charging devices
0:17
So I carry around a lot of chargers, which is where this is really fun
0:22
This is the Dice Power Charger Cube, and you can see it's a very different design
0:28
It's intended to be a die, obviously, but it's not going to roll very well, nor does it have pips
0:35
Instead of pips, it actually has charging ports. Much more helpful, really. So there's two USB 3
0:41
there's two USB 3, and then on the top, there's a USB C. The prongs flip in and out, and when you plug it into power
0:50
it is at an angle, so you have access to all three of those faces
0:56
So let me plug some things in. This is a little speaker, and I have USB C
1:02
No, actually, that's micro USB. Sorry, I've got to keep track of all this. And then here's my iPhone
1:07
I'll plug this in, and that gives us USB 3 to lightning, and then I have this Otterbox Wireless Charging Dock
1:15
And if I assume I can get all the wires to work, I can plug that in here
1:21
Let's see. There we go. And then, while all that is charging, I happen to have a Google Pixel 5
1:27
and I'll plug that into the USB C. And I don't know if you can tell, but everything's now charging at the same time off of this one cube
1:37
So here's the other one, the Dice Power Charger Cube. This one's obviously black, and they have red. A couple other colors should be coming
1:45
Let me tell you a little bit about it. So it has four USB 3
1:49
It has one USB C. The USB 3 push out 18 watts, and the USB C is 20 watts
1:56
So they talk about laptops and notebooks, but I don't think any of those are going to work with 20 watts
2:02
But this is fantastic for smartphones and tablets and any other devices that you need that are at that power range
2:09
It has protection for overcurrent, overheating, overvoltage, and short-circuit. And it'll also include worldwide converters, so you can plug in your Power Cube to a wall outlet in the US
2:23
in the UK, in the EU, and in Australia. In fact, it can take anything from 100 to 240 volts AC at 50 or 60 Hertz. Pretty nice
2:34
Now, one of the other fun things they're going to have in the final product, but were not able to send to me
2:39
is they're going to have this really fun little USB 3 charging lanyard
2:43
There are two tiny holes on the edge here. You'll plug in this lanyard, or like loop this lanyard through
2:49
and then you can hook it to, for example, your backpack and just tote this thing around
2:55
And then the lanyard actually doubles as an emergency USB 3 charging cable
3:00
Pretty good design. Now, all of this is charging, so let's double check everything's still working
3:06
Let's see. So, that's charging. That's charging. The Pixel is... Oops, wrong button. No wonder
3:18
It is still charging, and our little speaker looks like somewhere... There we go
3:23
There's a little indicator light. So, all of this is all charging. Really, really handy off of the single Dice Cube
3:30
So, let me tell you, size-wise, it's 2.1-inch cube, or 54 millimeters, and it's really light
3:37
It's 3.9 ounces, or 110 grams. So, the only thing left to talk about is the price, and this is a tiny bit complicated
3:45
because it's on Kickstarter right now. So, let me get to the price, but before I do, I'm going to ask if you can give me some feedback
3:51
Give me a thumbs-up if this is informative. Go ahead and leave a comment if you wish I would have plugged in a different device to see what would happen
3:58
Or subscribe to my channel, because we want to be friends. I want to be your friend
4:02
So, subscribe to my channel. Thank you. Now, the Dice Power Charger Cube on Kickstarter is $39 for one, or $62 for two
4:15
I guarantee, as soon as my kids see these, they will snag them, and I will never see them again
4:20
These are going to be really popular, right? They are going to retail for $59 each, so that $39 price on Kickstarter is a pretty solid option
4:30
Check out all the different colors. There's actually more fun colors. I definitely like the red more than the black. I just like bright and colorful things. Why not, right
4:38
It does not include any of the cables. It will include that cool USB lanyard
4:43
and it will also include the World Wide Power Converter, so you'll be able to use this on your travels, once you're out and about and traveling the world again
4:51
So, lots to like. Really fun design. I am definitely a fan
4:56
I am looking forward to getting the lanyard and all the other pieces, so that I have full sets
5:02
And meanwhile, I'm going to go ahead and let all of this charge, because they all need power, actually
5:07
Funny how that works out. And I will hope to catch you in my next video
