Now this is a racing style sports watch
0:03
Let's check it out. Dave Taylor here, and I'm checking out this
0:13
This is the Cassio Edifice, EFR, 573 HG-1AV, Sport Chronograph Watch. And yeah, that name's a little bit of a tongue twister, but it's a really sweet watch
0:27
Let me give you a quick close-up. And as you're looking at this design, let me tell you what Cassio says
0:33
The coloring of the new EFR 573 HG 1A reproduces the heat gradation effect of a titanium exhaust pipe of a sports car
0:44
that goes from gold to red and then to blue. The heat gradation effect is reproduced on the rings around the inset dials and the edge of the watch face
0:55
A lot of fancy marketing copy, but the fact is, It's a really cool looking watch
1:00
Now, let me tell you a little bit about it. It is waterproof down to 10 bars, which is 100 meters or 328 feet
1:08
It is 51 millimeters, 47.1 millimeters by 11.3 millimeters. It is not the thinnest watch in the world, but that's just the style
1:18
Stainless steel case, mineral glass crystal. The back, as you can see in this close-up, is a screw lock back plate, and it has a battery
1:27
It a three battery life so a couple of times a decade you want to end up changing that battery And the face itself has a stopwatch and date and there are three small dials
1:40
They are stopwatch minute, stopwatch second, and 24-hour time. Now, let's jump into another close-up, and I'll show you the stopwatch record
1:58
Accuracy wise, it's plus or minus 20 seconds per month. So over the course of a year, you might lose a minute or two, but it's really easy to adjust it
2:09
In fact, here's a critical thing to know is that when you pull the crown out, there are two stops
2:15
The first stop lets you quickly dial in your number, numeric date
2:20
And it's really important to know that because if you don't, you're going to pull it out two, which lets you adjust the hand
2:26
But then you're going to spend hours trying to. to get to the right numeric date
2:30
Now, the second one does let you adjust the time, so there's no Bluetooth sync, there's no atomic clock sync
2:37
But again, you know, plus or minus 20 seconds a month means that probably every, I don't know, twice a year
2:43
you're going to go into your watch and just fine tune it just a tiny bit to get the time right
2:48
But that's it. If you're a fan of the Cassio Edifice line, you'll want to know that in the internals are module 5695
2:56
So what Cassio does is that they have a small number of internal modules and then they have different styles for those modules So you might already have another watch in your edifice lineup that actually has the same module All that means is that you already used to how to actually control it
3:13
Now, you'll notice there's not a lot of buttons. There are two on the side, and that is stopwatch, start, stop, and clear
3:20
And then, of course, the middle is the crown. There's no winding for two or three years or possibly longer
3:26
That battery is going to let this watch keep perfect time, even if you have it stuck in a drawer for three months
3:32
because you're wearing one of your other watches. So lots to like about this
3:37
I think that the typical clasp here is one that I really appreciate
3:42
I like the design a lot. It slips on and clips on, and it's just a really handsome watch
3:49
And I will tell you, just wearing it over the last week or two
3:53
I have had people come up and compliment me and look at the watch and they're like, ooh, I'd buy one of those
3:58
That's really beautiful. So that whole heat gradation collection, that style is really impressive
4:04
It's very striking in person. Really nice. Now, one of the other things I should mention
4:09
is that the glass is atypically beveled so that it is a very smooth feel
4:15
There's no edge to the glass between that and the outer dial
4:19
So the whole thing has a nice feel to it, which is not always the case with edifice watches
4:25
But that's really all I have. This is really a style and fashion statement
4:29
I think it's a beautiful watch. I really love the. design the color scheme is very striking in person And so all we need to talk about is the price But before we get to the price I going to ask if you could subscribe to my channel a click or a tap on that subscribe button Make sure you also set notifications on
4:47
And we're good to go and we're connected. Good. Now, this, and take it off again, is the Casio Edifice, EFR 573 HG-1AV
5:00
quite the name, sports chronograph watch as part of the heat gradation
5:05
collection and it's surprisingly affordable at $200 at casio.com. So go to casio.com, choose watches
5:14
and you'll see they have quite a lineup of dozens and dozens of different watch styles with
5:19
different functionality. They also have their pro track line. If you want something that's more outdoorsy
5:24
this is obviously more themed to be a fashion watch or a watch that you might have at the racetrack
5:31
because you never know. Either way, it is dead. definitely one that I'm putting back on. It even supplanted my Apple Watch, which I've been wearing
5:40
for a while. It's just a really easy to read dial, and it's a really striking design
5:46
and that's really what you want out of a watch. So it's all I got. I'll hope to catch you in my next video
