Headphones with ANC and a removable boom mic
0:03
Let's check this out. Dave Taylor here and I'm checking out these
0:13
These are the All-Tech Lansing ANC Wireless Nanophones. Now, these are lightweight, simple, entry-level headphones with a couple of surprising features
0:25
one of which is active noise cancellation or ANC. The other cool thing is it has a removable boom mic that gives you really good sound
0:34
I'm going to give you a demo, but not right yet. So they're powered by 40mm neodymium drivers, and it has 12 hours of battery life on a charge
0:44
It's not the super fastest charge. It's USBC. It takes about three hours from zero to 100
0:50
And they are foldable, obviously. And, of course, you can unfold them, and then they be able
0:55
become nice, lightweight, simple over the ear, or I guess on top of the ear headphones
1:02
And the, let's see, there's a one button voice assist. They are antimicrobial
1:08
They have a 50 foot range on Bluetooth. And let's see, I can show you here in the close up
1:14
There's an ANC on off button. And then on the other side of that 3.5 millimeter jack is power and volume up and down
1:24
And pretty straightforward. On the other earpiece is USBC for charging and that tiny hole I believe is one of the microphones for ANC
1:34
So what I going to do is I going to actually plug it in and this is the left earpiece is the one that gets the microphone and then it already on I already have it paired with my iPhone 15 Pro which I can double check by just going into
1:52
music for a second and I have music so that means we can go to the voice app and let me just
2:00
adjust the mic to get it close to my mouth and Now what you're hearing is my voice as picked up by the nanophone mic
2:13
And as you can hear, it does a really nice job with the audio. It sounds really good
2:18
This is definitely one of the strongest features. And Altek Lansing has done a lot with speakers and headphones all through the years
2:25
But they obviously have figured out microphones too because it sounds pretty good
2:29
Now, let me just switch back. And so they're really comfortable. They're little
2:36
They have a lot of expansion, so they fit larger heads like my own
2:41
And I like that you can take the microphone off if you just want to use it as an audio playback device
2:48
That's super easy to work with. Foldable, nice colors, everything. But two things
2:56
Number one, the ANC is pretty meh at best. What it does is it gets rid of some low rumbling in your environment
3:03
but when I was playing different music from speakers and then using this with ANC
3:09
I could still hear the other music bleeding through. So these are not world class ANC, but it's also extraordinarily affordable
3:18
Now the other thing is that when you open the box the box says there an app and you should download it and everything That app does not work with Alt Lansing headphones
3:29
It's really designed for their speaker line. So probably save yourself some hassle, just skip the app entirely, and just focus on the on-headphone controls
3:40
Now, these would be great for a teenager, for example, but they don't have volume limiting
3:46
They get really loud. So, let's talk about that sound because I thought they had really nice sound
3:53
It's not a big, lush, full sound, but it definitely gives you all the frequencies
3:58
and I was listening to the soundtrack for Mission Impossible, and it was very exciting
4:03
I turned it up probably like two-thirds on my phone, but it was a full immersive experience
4:08
with a good sound stage and good bass response. It's not, if you're into techno or beat or something like that
4:16
then you might want something with more base, but this does an entirely respectable job with audio reproduction
4:22
And with this microphone that you can plug in that gives you such good audio pickup
4:27
there's a lot to like here. It's super light and easy to work with
4:31
and it's priced at a point where you could get these for a teenager
4:36
and if they get mangled six months later, you know, it's not the end of the world
4:41
They're not super expensive. So they are definitely ones to check out
4:45
But we should talk about the price. But before we get there, I'm going to ask you to subscribe to my channel

And if you found this helpful, I always appreciate a thumbs up. So appreciate you doing that Cool These are the let see let turn it this way There we go These are the Altek Lansing ANC Wireless Nanophones
5:11
They come in three colors, gray, icy, and mint. And they're different prices at different colors
5:19
These are $59.99, but currently discounted down to 2973 at Amazon.com. This is the icy color, and they are
5:29
the least expensive of the three. All three colors are discounted from that 5999 base price
5:36
but differently. So if you really love the light green, for example, you pay a couple of
5:41
dollar premium. If you don't care what color it is, but you just want to have nice sound
5:45
reproduction, a good microphone, and a device that's going to be really easy to tote around
5:52
then you might stick with this light blue icy color because that 2973 is a pretty hard to beat
5:59
price. So that's really everything. I will say, as so many of these headphones do, the left
6:07
right indicators are extremely subtle. Probably the easiest way to remember is that the 3.5
6:13
millimeter jack for the microphone is on the left ear. So I do this. I'm good to go. I'm going back
6:20
to my soundtrack, which means I'll hope to catch you in my next video
