Dave & Kari take their viewers on a tour of the South Western states of the United States. They are traveling with a travel trailer and their first stop is Lake Powell, Arizona. They talk about what it’s like to set up a trailer at their camp site. They are taking day trips from Lake Powell. The first stop is Horseshoe Bend on the way to Antelope Canyon. They take a boat tour of the canyon and learn about how the canyon was formed. Another day trip is to Monument Valley where they check out the Gouldings Trading Post. A lot of western movies were filmed in Monument Valley. At the trading post, they check out John Wayne’s cabin and a lot of cool movie making photos at the trading post. Next is a trip to the massive Grand Canyon. They talk with a couple of hikers who went to the bottom and back. On the way to Zion National Park, the swing by Hurricane, Utah and visit the Heritage Museum where the learn about pioneers moving west. The curator’s hobby is making miniature wagons. He talks about the evolution of wagons clear back to the Roman chariots days. At Zion, Dave & Kari take a hike to Emerald Pools, then explore the Narrows. Last stop on this episode is the awesome views they see at Bryce Canyon.
