Hey guys, it's Dave from AFPTComics.com and behind the camera is..
0:11
Lisa behind the camera! That's her full name. Anyway, we have the Marvel Legends Wal-Mart exclusive Thanos
0:18
Where's it Thanos? And right now you can find this in Wal-Mart, obviously
0:22
You can also find it on Amazon for a little bit more than its retail price, which is $20
0:27
But if you go on Amazon you can be an idiot like me and pay $40. But you know what, I wanted it so bad and the movie trailer just came out for Avengers Infinity War
0:35
So you know, you gotta one-up your collection with some Thanos action
0:41
Now this isn't my first Thanos. Yeah, there was a big hole in that case I just noticed. Yes
0:48
Because he's out. This is the Diamond Select Thanos, which I think came out like five years ago
0:54
And he came with his own death. Yeah, he's a beast. We actually haven't seen this in the trailer yet, so I'm wondering if he's still killing for her
1:01
Anywho, yeah, he's very big. Bigger than this new one from Wal-Mart
1:06
So anyway, let's unbox this guy. So first of all, wait, before I do that
1:11
This is your typical Marvel Legends box. It's got the window, got a little seal of approval from Wal-Mart there
1:17
Ooh, stamp of approval. Little art on the right and the left, same art
1:22
The usual... Picture on the back there, yeah, a little pose. Very nice
1:28
And as you can see, there's no other figures in this set because this is just a single Marvel Legends
1:33
It's actually, for the price, it's actually a pretty good deal. Looks very similar to this one that you have, but little variations
1:41
So that's a good point. This is the comic version of Thanos, not the movie version
1:48
So if you haven't been reading the comics, this will look a little foreign to you. Yeah, look how much smaller he is, huh
1:53
Yeah, he's much smaller. And he's metallic. Yes, that was one of the main reasons why I really wanted this figure
1:58
The paint job, it looks pretty sick online. Now he comes with an extra head
2:02
What's this? That's like an armor. It's like he's wearing some sort of armor
2:06
He's got an extra hand so that you can take off that gauntlet
2:11
Because he's not going to always have it. Well, we hope. Yeah, we might all die if he does have it
2:21
Got a little space purple background. Something we love here at AFPT, lots of purple
2:27
Lots of purple. He's shiny. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, he's shiny, all right
2:37
So, just briefly looking at this, his little shoulder apron is a little loose
2:48
But I think it's supposed to be loose. It's quite big. It is big
2:52
As you can see, comparative-wise, he also had the shoulder skirt in the previous version
2:58
Is it me, though, or is his head too small for his body on the new one
3:02
Looks like a very diminutive head. A little small. Maybe the wide shoulders here is kind of throwing you off. Maybe
3:10
Which we can take this off, apparently. Whoa, he looks naked. Whoa, check out that spine
3:17
That's weird. That's pretty wild. He didn't have that in the original
3:21
So, right off the bat, I can just tell you I'm a little worried. This is kind of loose
3:25
He seems really flexy, yeah. It's tighter now, but it looks like it only goes one click
3:33
So, he's not going to be doing any sit-ups anytime soon. Yeah
3:39
But he is the typical Marvel Legends figure. He does have good posability because of the bendiness
3:46
Although, as you can see, he's so muscular that his legs can't bend completely like Spider-Man's would
3:54
But the paint job is excellent, I think. This glue is really cool
4:01
Let's get a look at that gauntlet hand. So, obviously, it's kind of just painted. Yeah
4:08
Not super shiny. They could have done a translucent for each stone, but instead they went with this
4:16
In comparison to the Diamond Select, it's actually much brighter. This actually looks more like a used glove
4:24
It's a little darker. And he only has, what, one stone on that glove? No, he's got one, two, three, four, five
4:30
They're all black, though, whereas they're colored on the other one. This one's really dark blue, yellow, green
4:35
Yeah, this is much more vibrant. There's also some interesting, like, I don't know, ribbing
4:42
Yeah, like knuckles. For his knuckles? Lines for his knuckles. But, yeah, I still think, even with his giant collar off, I think his head is too small
4:55
I lost his hand. Let's put this back. I feel like they kept a regular-sized head on a Hulkie figure, you know
5:05
Like they forgot to update and go, oh, maybe we should make the heads bigger. Yeah, maybe
5:10
Or maybe they wanted to make him look more impressive and big because his body's huge but his head is tiny
5:14
You know, like Arnold Schwarzenegger. The head just pops on, but this one's being a bit of a trickster
5:25
I think that's, nope. It doesn't want to pop, but you get the idea
5:35
So, okay, again, this is only $20, this figure. So it's a pretty good value considering it's its own figure and it's a little bit bigger
5:44
But as you can see, he doesn't look quite as impressive when he's compared to these other characters, I think
5:52
Wait, let's check out Mezco's Deadpool here. Oh my God, he's got a plumbus
5:59
Oh, that's not good. That's not good for Thanos. Every household has to have a plumbus
6:04
Obviously this isn't a Marvel Legends, this is a Mezco figure, but comparatively, Thanos is still taller
6:10
Yeah, except he's taller. He could definitely beat him in a little bit, although he does have the plumbus, so
6:15
He does have an advantage. Do they want to trade? What are we doing, the gauntlet hand for the plumbus
6:22
I don't know. Yeah, I don't know. Is the plumbus worth five Infinity Stones
6:27
Probably not. This is actually not going to work because it's not a Marvel Legends
6:31
Anyway, as you can see, there's like a little sleeve plastic thing that comes off
6:37
Then the hand goes in. If you can't muscle that head on, how are little kids going to do that
6:44
This isn't for little kids, this is for adults. Get with the times
6:51
There's also a plastic piece here. I don't know, there's like these additional plastic pieces
6:55
I want to say this, compared to the Diamond Select, the size is a whopping difference, but this is less of a skirt and more of like armor belt thing
7:06
So that looks cooler in my mind. But the collar is crazy
7:10
It's wicked big. You've never worn a collar like this? I feel like it's like, you know
7:15
He's got that spinal, look at that. That is cool. That's kind of evil
7:19
I don't know about that collar. It's also nice that he has two heads
7:23
I would say that his skin is like a darker purple, which is pretty cool
7:28
Compared to the Select. The face skin there. This is a bit more like the Comet
7:35
Anywho, pretty cool figure for 20 bucks, it's not bad. If you go to aaptcomics.com, you can see my full score, pictures, and additional thoughts
7:46
But I think this is a pretty good deal for 20 bucks
7:50
If you don't have this guy, who is 45 on Amazon right now, this is something that you're going to want to add to your collection
7:55
Just so you can have your set. Although there are going to be movie versions of Thanos coming out, or they're already out
8:02
So maybe you'd want that anyway. So, thank you for watching. If you like this video, please subscribe

And come back for more. Thanks! Thanks
