As we unbox the entire Hasbro Marvel Legends Venom wave we finally get to the main character of the group. This Venom is cool, but we caught a major defect in the paint job. Bummer!

Hey guys, it's Dave from the NPTComics.com with another Marvel Legends Venomwave unboxing
0:16
This time we've got the man of the hour, Venom himself. This is the second Venom I think they've come out with in the last four years
0:25
Only a few slight details which we'll get into in a minute. Customary of every Marvel Legends box, you've got some cool design work on the name on the
0:34
bottom, the Venom logo on the top, some art on the right and the left which is the same
0:41
and some sweet photography of the figure on the back which you get the Eddie Brockhead
0:46
and most of the figure in the picture. And then obviously some detail on the other figures in this wave which will all together
0:53
build this guy, the monster Venom which is huge, pretty big figure
0:57
So let's unbox him. All it takes is a little cut on the bottom of this tape
1:03
If you're super careful you don't tear the cardboard. If you're like me, you will tear the cardboard
1:17
So something Marvel Legends is doing is adding these kind of plastic piece details which
1:23
kind of set it apart, make it feel a little special. It's not just a piece of plastic that was molded, there's some kind of extra detailing going on
1:34
For $20 these figures are really well made and really poseable which I think is what
1:40
the fans are really after. So yeah, there's this plastic piece that I think, I don't want to break it, yep, it will
1:48
come off, you just unplug it and then like that. And then we've got Eddie here
1:56
And we've got his head. This is a little bit more modern look, this isn't the Tom McFarlane look for Venom
2:03
There's some teeth out. They're not too sharp and jagged but they are sharp
2:10
They're not like super thin I mean. There's a bit of a paint defect here with the red there but it's not a deal breaker
2:16
And then you've got little speckles in the white there which is a cool little detail
2:22
And then you've got Eddie who is a little thicker than your usual Spider-Man figure
2:27
because he wants to take him out. This is a pretty classic look
2:33
Blonde hair, big eyebrows, big jaw. He looks like a guy that might be a villain
2:41
You've got the black dot for where the webs come out. There's no flipping with Venom guys
2:49
Again he's all about kind of like mass. He's a big strong character who can really push Spider-Man around
2:58
Let's take his head off and let's put on the Venom head so you can see it
3:03
There we go. And then again this piece kind of has like a plug
3:09
It goes around in there like this. Kind of a neat feature
3:15
I mean there's no symbiote action going on with the rest of him
3:19
which is probably why I'm a little hesitant to love it. Just because you know he..
3:26
If the only symbiote like tendrils are coming out of his neck that's kind of weak in a way
3:34
Especially when you compare it. Let me just... This piece doesn't want to move
3:44
There we go. When you compare it to the Carnage who's got tendrils galore on his legs and his back and his arms
3:57
Definitely a little less. I don't know maybe he's not supposed to be as crazy as Carnage
4:06
One thing I'm noticing really quickly is... Do you see the white here
4:10
It's kind of like blown out a little bit. Which is surprising
4:14
You've got these strong black lines. Sharp edges back here. But it's sort of rubbed off or something here
4:22
That's not cool. It's not quite as sharp as he should be
4:26
And if we look at the box... See how sharp that is
4:30
That is not the same. So he also comes with the bath leg which is all veiny and purplish
4:37
Which will be sweet when we see them all put together. So overall..
4:42
I'm not super loving this. I think the Venom that came out just 3 or 4 years ago was a slightly better figure
4:51
Especially because it was more classic atomic fireland with the head. This piece isn't really doing it for me
4:57
I mean it's a nice extra little feature. But the paint job here is so blown out and washed out
5:03
I don't know. That's a deal breaker. That's a pretty huge defect. Anywho, if you want to see my full thoughts and a score..
