Hey, guys. This is Dave from AFPTComics.com, and we have the Monster Venom Bath Carnage
0:14
This is the Venom Wave coming out this year. We literally just got it a couple days ago
0:19
from Big Bag Toy Store. We preordered it. That's why we have it. I think it'll start showing up in shops right now
0:25
All Marvel Legends retail for $20. Of course, when it's this early on in the year
0:32
before the wave is... Just as the wave is coming out, you could probably find this on eBay for $50, unfortunately
0:37
And depending on the figure in the wave. Here's the whole wave
0:42
We've already done Spider-Ham. I'm wondering which one of these is going to be the rare figure
0:46
Usually there's one that they make a lot of, like the... What was it? Gwenpool
0:52
They apparently made tons of them. How they ship these is, usually they'll have, when they send it to a store
0:59
they'll have one of every single one, and maybe like three of Typhoid Mary
1:02
and then one of the rest. The one figure they think will sell the most
1:06
My guess is Venom is probably going to be the easiest to find. Spider-Ham might be hard to find. I don't know
1:12
So anywho, we have the Carnage here. This is a brand new Carnage
1:16
that a lot of people are probably clamoring for. There's been a couple of Carnage figures out there
1:21
This one is particularly nice because it comes with the Cletus Kasady head
1:25
along with the Carnage head. Just yesterday at Basa Despo, current Venom writer Donny Cates talked about
1:33
how Carnage is going to be showing up in his series, and it's going to be a big story
1:37
especially with his new villain, Null, and we're going to get Carnage's take on it
1:41
So that's pretty cool that the character will hopefully be a little more prominent in the Marvel comics
1:47
because he has been kind of spotty here and there in the last couple of years. Anywho, like any Marvel Legends box
1:55
there's some nice photography on the back, and there's like a nice little cutout of Cletus there
1:58
which is pretty cool. You don't usually see that. And then here's the monster Venom
2:03
which we will build and show you later. So let's unbox this
2:09
My tip on unboxing these is to get this tape, cut this tape on the bottom
2:15
and then you can kind of just slide the entire figure out
2:19
Um, like, oh, well, you know what? Okay, I'm not a purist, I don't mind breaking the box
2:31
All right, so what do we have here? So we have the two extra Venom, sorry, Venom, Carnage hands
2:38
We've got a pretty cool tendrilled hand, and then we've got the axe hand, which is kind of standard for Carnage
2:43
I have the larger figure from the first movie, what is it, Marvel's
2:51
kind of primo figure line, if you can think of it. Oh, oh, oh, don't want to leave it here
3:00
Oh, so this is interesting. He's got like a little extra tendril coming out of the back here
3:05
Just pop that out before you pop him out. So you can totally tell Marvel Legends
3:11
is doing a better job with details on their figures. These tendrils that are actually built right in
3:18
I wonder if it comes out. This just, they were not doing this a year ago
3:25
Figures were just the regular body mold and good articulation, but little details like this are kind of a new thing
3:35
So as you can see, got some black and red going on here
3:40
Got some nifty red hair, of course. Very evil face, as you can see
3:48
Big chomper teeth. This is gonna be your standard Marvel Legends as far as, oh, let's put his tendrils back
4:00
I could see people posing this and having a lot of fun with it
4:04
because they've got the double knee joint. They got the ankle that can move all the way around
4:11
And really, these are really poseable figures and they're really cheap. 20 bucks is pretty good
4:16
especially in a market where there are toys that are 200. So there's not a lot of detail to the figure
4:23
besides the tendrils, but I just noticed on this hand, look how it kind of morphs into the axe
4:30
That's really cool. Kind of makes it look liquid. And even on here, the axe is sort of cut through
4:35
Really nice detail on that. And reminds you that he's got this liquid suit on him
4:40
that's alive, which is really nice. So, and then you've got the usual movement in the chest
4:47
and the head goes all the way around. The head mold's really nice too
4:53
Not a bad paint job. Good coloring in the gums. It might be really hard to see
4:59
but his eyes, the pupils are like silver, which maybe gives him that kind of evil, crazy look
5:08
Now, there have been other Carnage figures where there are a lot more accessories
5:15
I mean, just two hands may not seem like a lot for some
5:19
but you do get a pretty cool Carnage head. Which, he's always giving me trouble
5:38
They're supposed to just pop on. I don't think it's on now
5:46
Ooh. Man, oh man. All right, got him on
6:00
So, if we look closer at the head here, really dark jaw, kind of scary, actually
6:14
Looks good. White is good. There's a bit of red there, but I mean, he's a fluid character
6:19
so maybe that makes sense. The jaw here is really creepy. A lot of black, makes him look extra evil
6:26
Looks good. Let's get that arm up, Cletus. All right. So, since he's got the axe
6:38
it makes it a little trickier to pose him because he's not quite as balanced
6:45
There he is, folks. So, also with this figure is the monster venom head
6:54
which is pretty sweet. He's got like a yellowish teeth, big tongue that's kind of skyrocketing out
7:02
and some fluid paint. Obviously, it's a little purple, which is pretty cool
7:06
I like that. And you can see the gums actually extending out
7:09
Ooh, that's creepy. So, really quick, I wanted to compare him
7:31
to the Superior Spider-Man figure that came out, three years ago, because he also has a carnage head
7:39
because Carnage actually took over Doc Ock when he was controlling Spider-Man for a little while
7:45
And he's also got similar hands too, doesn't he? Now, a quick comparison, we'll show you
7:51
These hands are identical. That's kind of a fascinating thing, isn't it
7:56
So, they've basically reused the hand, obviously, just coloring it completely red
8:00
So, they were already partway there. Now, as far as the head is concerned
8:06
I wanna say, I wanna say they're identical. They're very close. Obviously, the orange in the mouth is different
8:15
and the spider head, obviously, but the basic paint job here, well, this curves up
8:21
this doesn't, a little different. Jaw, I'm gonna say the mold's probably the same though
8:26
Yeah, the teeth are both equally creepy. So, and just for size comparison
8:33
you can see about the same height. So, overall, I think this is a cool toy
8:42
So, overall, I think this is a cool toy. Comes with two extra hands
8:48
Cletus head and the monster venom bath head. Overall, this is a great carnage
8:55
I'm sure this is gonna be ideal for collectors who haven't picked up every single one up to this point
9:02
As far as Marvel Legends is concerned, I mean, he's got the same sort of body mold, but he's got these cool new tendrils
9:07
which is really exciting. And they did a really good job making it look organic
9:12
in the axe and then just in the tendrils on his hand and stuff
9:16
Overall, this is a really cool figure. If you go to aiptcomics.com, actually you can read my full review and see some picks too
9:22
I hope you liked this video. If you did, subscribe. We have obviously more Marvel Legends unboxings to come
9:28
