Hey everyone, it's Dawg for AIPT and what have we got here
0:12
Well it's pretty obvious, it's a Soldiers of AIM, it's a classic beekeeper, AIM, evil
0:18
scientist guy! From Marvel Legends, Infinite Series, Captain America, yes this is old, I understand that
0:27
But as you remember, I wasn't exactly thrilled with the Hydra II pack that came from the
0:35
Toys R Us exclusive recently, rest in peace Toys R Us. And I've always had a special affinity as a science guy for AIM, so I figured if I'm
0:44
going to continue getting henchmen, and I am going to continue getting henchmen, there's
0:48
a reason for that you'll see later, then I had to have one of these, it only makes sense
0:55
So there it is, it looks good so far, let's open it up and take a look
1:02
Okay so here he is, to demonstrate posability of the AIM action figure I've put him in a
1:08
position that most AIM agents were probably accustomed to, the fetal position, they're
1:13
not heroes, they're not villains, they're just scared little scientists, let's hope
1:17
he doesn't wet his beekeeper suit. And as you can see, well as you can see, good posability
1:24
Heads behind the head, knees tucked, toes pointed, he's either in the fetal position
1:31
or working on his abs. And a nice little instructional on how to make the Mandroid, which is the Build-A-Figure
1:41
from this series. A lot of people say that this was their least favorite Build-A-Figure, but I don't know
1:47
I think it's pretty cool. Look at this, look at this big gun arm here, a little cable coming out, and it's posable
1:55
This moves, see? I don't know, it kind of makes me want to build the Mandroid
2:03
Not to you guys. Bam. And here's a, well if he's, we have a Bob agent of HYDRA, maybe this is Bill, agent
2:13
of AIM. Bill's rifle, which looks suspiciously like something from the HYDRA 2 pack
2:18
I mean, I guess they make everyone's weapons at AIM. Little pistol kind of thing
2:24
Let's see if we can stand him up. Defend yourself, Bill
2:34
Look at this, Bill of AIM is packing and ready to go
2:39
The guns fit nicely into his hands, unlike the HYDRA. Look at that, like it was made for it, because it was
2:50
Rifle in the shoulder. I like how his neck and his head can kind of tilt up, like he's just realizing someone
3:01
has approached him and he's like, I have to actually use these things now
3:05
The head was kind of loose, I was moving it around earlier and it popped right off
3:10
like that. Again, maybe that's a feature. These guys would be easily defeated
3:18
I'm guessing that's not true. Body does stand, he holds his weapons, and he goes into the field position
3:26
I'm assuming this, you know what, I don't like these bandoliers or whatever you want
3:31
to call them. They're very loose and they kind of preferentially fall into weird looking positions
3:39
I'm going to assume this comes off, as they do on the HYDRA
3:44
Well, here's your headless AIM guy. Holds his weapons well, not so well the head
3:51
So there you have it, a very quick look at an old figure, the Soldiers of AIM
3:57
I don't know why they couldn't call him AIM Scientist, I don't know
4:02
Either way, for the old Captain America, Marvel Legends series. You know what, I think I do like this more than the more recent HYDRA 2 pack
4:10
Maybe I'm biased, I know I'm biased. But something about that beekeeper head, I just like it too much
4:18
And as I said, he holds the weapons a lot better than the HYDRA guys do
4:24
And he stands pretty well, probably because of these elfin toes. Did you see that
4:29
Why are his feet so pointed? Are they like, special issue? Like to poke Nick Fury's eyes out
4:39
I don't know. But, and as you can see, it stands pretty well too
4:44
Boom, that easily. I guess my one complaint would be, well obviously the head, but you know, don't smack him around
4:52
too much I guess. But also there isn't a ton of detail
4:56
He's got a little weird belt I guess. Other than that, it's black boots, yellow suit
5:02
But you know, I guess that's what the AIM guys are. And you know, you see I took the bandolier off, it didn't unstrap as he was decapitated
5:10
I just pulled it over his shoulder. So, yeah, I mean if you're not a fan of AIM, Advanced Idea Mechanics, the original AIM
5:22
with the yellow beekeepers, you might not be thrilled with this figure
5:28
But it suits my purposes and I think he's going to have some more company real soon
5:34
Thanks for taking a look. This is Dog with AIPT
