what's everyone what's up everyone listen I was literally practicing inside
0:17
my head I was like what's up in the mirror in the mirror while I was driving on the way over your what's up everyone
0:23
as soon as I started I was like wait no what is just saying I got to do the
0:29
catchphrase what's everyone it's me and Jessica Finney here with two straws
0:36
oh my goodness Ava you were ready this time you had some time to just like I
0:42
don't know decompress you went on a crazy trip around the world like can you tell us what you've been up to I
0:49
literally had the most amazing two weeks of my freaking it looked insane I'm so excited I am exhausted I've been
0:56
sleeping but I I it has not been restful sleeping I look at my ordering sleep score every morning and it's like go
1:02
back to bed like [ __ ] what are you doing to us we're dying quit adventuring
1:19
third world country so it was not safe oh wow yes so it just makes it more fun
1:24
though exactly if there's not a little element of like you might die yeah you might plummet to your death it's like a
1:30
roller coaster you might get kidnapped hey that's the fun part what you know what's the point exactly so I got to go
1:38
on this amazing um Titans MMA tour it was the first one they have another one set for September
1:44
okay um and what is Titans MMA well Titan's MMA is actually a fight organization
1:49
okay in Florida is owned by Lex McMahon we actually
1:55
um there was looking for a fight episode that featured that fight organization they've had um you know a lot of talent
2:02
go from their organization into the UFC okay and most of the guys except for
2:07
myself on that tour were had fought for oh that's awesome so it was a part of
2:13
AFE which is um Armed Forces entertainment and basically it's an amazing amazing program that they put
2:20
together where they invite um you know athletes celebrities comedians all sorts of people to uh to
2:29
our military bases and just kind of like boost morale we were there to do seminars and meet and greets and you
2:35
know just like they also set up really amazing experiences for us that I wasn't even expecting yeah I saw it because I
2:41
thought you guys were just going to be going from Base to Base not really seeing anything like from the place that
2:48
you were at just kind of going hey troops hey troops hey troops and there's just like grounded Groundhog's Day I
2:54
mean yeah no it was it was not I didn't know what to expect but I did not expect
2:59
this and the group of people that I went with oh my God my two favorite people in
3:04
the world right now sorry no offense but uh Charles Rosa
3:16
[Music] you guys are besties you don't need to
3:23
know his last name but he's um he's an up-and-coming UFC
3:28
fighter he's had a few fights in the UFC he's um uh start at 1 55 now 170 and
3:35
these guys were just like my buddies on the chip I had so much fun with him we also had um shorty Torres and then we
3:42
had Lex and then we had um Johnny look I always say his last name wrong look look
3:49
he's like a Lacroix but we had a great group does he have a
3:56
bubbly personality not as bubbly as yours right now stop it you just don't
4:02
want me to get jealous uh but we started in Cuba and we got to
4:09
tour Guantanamo Bay we got to see all of Hawaii whose top secret spots that like we couldn't take pictures of because you
4:16
know top secret what was Guantanamo Bay like it it was really hot and humid and it
4:24
was crazy that we got to see all the things that we did holy [ __ ] we got a tour of everything
4:30
um did you get to torture someone no but I got to see the places where oh my God all the places multiple places I was
4:37
like no no there's just one right no no oh here's the other one here's our torturing facility
4:45
I thought it was just one no it's not one that's crazy it's not one yeah oh
4:50
that's insane cool what else did you see kind of like that's that is gonna be
4:55
hard to top but yeah yeah yeah um we got to we got to do a really cool
5:01
um uh snorkeling Excursion that was you know very torturing snorkeling
5:09
got to ride ATVs went back to the torturing session
5:14
oh my God no uh Cuba was awesome and uh we did the most seminars there they had
5:21
like the highest level of um like grappling experienced people there so so we added on you know a
5:27
couple more seminars and more meet and greets just so we could you know accommodate everyone so we were very
5:33
very well received it was an awesome experience from there we went to Honduras and we
5:40
sorry my nose I am like allergic to everything right now you're like I was over in Cuba yeah
5:51
oh God no literally uh if I'm gone for two weeks which I was I literally it
5:57
resets my allergies so no I'm bugging right now and there's a dog in the studio so it's not it's not the Cuba
6:03
it's not the Cuba it's not the white girl affected the white girl it is
6:08
it is just allergies it's just pet dander I swear
6:16
so we went down Honduras and um we only had like one meet and greet there we
6:22
lost a lot of days just because of travel but it was absolutely worth it and then in Honduras we got to go to
6:27
this amazing waterfall um is that the one you guys jumped in yeah that looked awesome so we got to
6:34
climb up and under the waterfall and it was literally it was so powerful there was so much energy that I was like I
6:40
could feel like it's just shaking my body it was almost like pre-fight like anxiety it was like I was like I can't
6:46
breathe so well right now yeah it was just really really intense but it was it was you know it was incredible nature
6:52
and then yeah and then we got to just we got to jump off a few things and like uh
6:57
one of Odd as it is one of my favorite things is to like climb up and jump off okay
7:03
that's that's a thing I feel like that's true like you like climbing up people so
7:08
of course you would like climbing up things like climbing on things yeah climbing on things I'm not supposed to
7:13
yeah I I can see that climbing on horses all the time all the time you do tend to
7:19
climb things and I and I tend to like misuse them like I never like ride front
7:25
words the whole time sometimes I stand on them okay like lay on them and yeah
7:31
just just whatever way I can I just get creative with it yeah yeah you know it's
7:36
boring if you're just doing it one way um so we got to jump off of two ledges and I I posted a video of one of them my
7:43
my like flop so this was a really high one and this is like my second or third
7:49
time like jumping off and I was getting kind of tired because you know it's it's a lot climb is a lot too yeah the climb
7:55
all the way up and then the jump off and you're constantly trying to like gauge trajectory so that you're not like yeah
8:01
yourself up and then not drowning once you get down there yeah you know yeah I think that's a big part normally I'm
8:07
like a snob when it comes to life vest and I don't want to wear one because I'm like I don't need a life as thank God
8:12
for that life as well I could have sunk to the bottom real quick but like I jumped and then I started kind of like
8:19
almost laying back and I like flopped so oh and everybody heard it and when I
8:24
came up as I was coming up I was like and I'm like how's your poor bag did it
8:31
have like the slap mark on it it was very red like the whole back like the the
8:37
hamstrings the booty the back everything was very red how high do you think it
8:43
was that you jumped from it was high enough for me to like oh it was like I'm
8:50
still holding my breath but I need more yeah oh she's so scary yeah and then we zip
8:57
lined we went down a lazy river nice um and then we went from there to Greenland
9:02
Greenland um we only were there for 24 hours but I mean it was jam-packed from the time we
9:09
we landed um we went on a Crazy 80 TV thing yeah
9:15
I've never been once they're like have you ever been a one I was like yeah I just I just said yesterday because I
9:22
don't want any reason for me to not not let me do them right so I just say yes
9:27
and I'll figure things out as I go along it's like a horse yeah yeah it has four legs it's fine
9:33
Preston was behind me and he was like you know almost like went up in like a rose like I know
9:40
I know I was terrified actually you realize that's what um uh who was it uh was it Raquel
9:48
Pennington she like almost died driving ATVs and
9:53
she does it all the time but she was driving ATVs through the woods before like a huge fight and like fell off
10:01
almost lost her leg because it like I think the the ATV crashed into a tree
10:07
and her leg was in between the ATV and the tree so uh yeah makes sense yeah I I
10:13
like I'm very glad that didn't happen to you I just started like drifting and you know it's really wet there right now
10:19
it's it's summer in Greenland and basically like they're on a glacier and it's it's raining constantly but it's
10:26
not cold enough to turn into snow and freeze so it's just wet because it's on
10:31
an iceberg so like it can't absorb into the ground so it's just like wet and slippery and I just started like
10:38
drifting and then there was like this wall and I started going up and I was like I should so I like kind of stood up
10:43
to counter balance and then I slowly turned and like you know from being on horses so much I learned how to panic in
10:50
certain situations well that in your Mario Kart experience I think that's something that we should address I was
10:56
reliving it because I think anyone else would have died there but because you're
11:01
so good at Mario Kart like and you guys think I'm I'm exaggerating but this [ __ ] is insane at
11:09
Mario Kart she will lap the best players that I know in my I don't even try to play her anymore
11:16
um I think that had a big impact on your performance there because
11:21
that was a pretty dangerous move you basically ran over a green shell
11:26
I lived yeah yeah um I definitely was pretending I was Koopa Troopa like no
11:32
I'm not gonna I'm not even kidding like this is my time I got this
11:40
that's awesome one day we have to go to Japan together
11:45
and we can do that Mario Kart experience yeah have you seen that I have yeah it
11:51
looks so fun but I feel like it's gonna be real lame compared to how fun it looks
11:57
um but that's definitely a tourist trap I want to do one day with you so we have to do that put that in a bucket list
12:03
I I did like bucket list things I didn't even know that they were in my bucket list yeah there you go I was like holy
12:09
[ __ ] this whole trip was a bucket list that's awesome sounds incredible did you see the aurora borealis when you were
12:16
there was a house no because it's summer it was like 24 hours a [ __ ] day that
12:22
was hard that [ __ ] with me yeah it was like one in the morning and I mean I sleep with like a sleep mask and it was
12:29
just like my my clock was like it's not time to sleep we're wide awake I was like no no please let me sleep God let
12:36
me sleep I have to be up so soon and yeah yeah yeah you just ride it out
12:42
write it out keep going yeah yeah and then from there I came home really quick
12:48
and then I was part of a celebrity poker tournament in Las Vegas so I flew in there for the day
12:54
um I got a call and they were like hey do you know how to play poker I was like yes I don't
13:03
so I just um I sat down at the table and I'm like oh I'm with like a bunch of dudes that
13:09
know what they're doing I'm just gonna pretend I'll just be like bam no luckily
13:16
um Charles Rosa who was on the tour with me okay is uh pretty good at poker so he
13:21
gave me some like pointers and some strategies so I did I did a lot better
13:27
than nah I would have otherwise yes it was and I got invited back so hey there
13:33
you go time to practice I feel like if anything your poker face was probably way ahead of the game than the other
13:39
players it was it made people a little uncomfortable like sometimes I get into this thing where like they don't I
13:44
sometimes I don't even know like if I'm joking or I'm being sarcastic or serious like they couldn't figure it out yeah so
13:51
it was fun if you don't know they they're not gonna Thursday do I hate you I'm not sure yet we'll see
13:59
if I win if I lose I hate you oh that's amazing that's awesome and I
14:06
mean you had an amazing trip and I need to hear all about it yes so
14:12
um we kind of decided that this is going to be our anniversary trip because when
14:18
my actual anniversary wedding anniversary happened we were in London but not for that we were there for
14:25
Wilson Hayes's uh fight that was happening in cage Wars he's fighting in
14:30
two weeks in kjois too so make sure to tune in tune into that but
14:36
it happened on New Year's then January 2nd came around it was like man I feel
14:41
like we're forgetting something like [Music]
14:48
today feels like I feel like we're forget it and then we both realize at the same time like oh [ __ ] it's our
14:55
wedding anniversary that's amazing so we lucked out that we both forgot because I
15:01
feel like if one of us Remembered in one day and we're just trying to play koi the whole time then we would have been
15:06
real disappointed but we both had no idea until the day of so we decided okay
15:11
we're gonna do a big vacation at some point and it ended up being the one that
15:16
I just went on and we went to Tulum Mexico which is somewhere that I've been seeing people post about I have uh a
15:24
friend that actually trains at this place called Tulum Muay Thai so I would see pictures from that and then I'd see
15:31
pictures of Tulum and it just looked like this really cool uh kind of deserted Beach Town kind of place and it
15:38
looked gorgeous so we went out there um it was amazing it was really humid
15:43
but like because we were in the water most of the time it didn't really affect us too much Adam got to even out his
15:51
farmer's tan a tiny bit uh so he was walking around with the shoulders out
15:58
you guys don't know Adam has probably one of the most impressive Farmer's towns that I have ever seen
16:03
eight years in the making yeah does not wear a tank top but you know drives with
16:09
his with his window down in the car in San Diego Sunny is placed in America so yeah
16:18
it's a really good Farmer's stand and he finally decided to get the shoulders out and ungleem them so we so we were we
16:27
were hanging out on the beach a lot uh we we did some we did a little bit of snorkeling we went to a Cenote yeah that
16:35
was fun I had a a fun experience because I had the life vest on and I also was like man we don't need a life vest what
16:42
is this like we're just gonna be waiting in this pool and underwater but I didn't realize how deep it was so the second I
16:49
got in I was like oh [ __ ] I'm gonna drown like I um I have uh this thing when that
16:58
I found out when I did deep in Fitness that I have a very low buoyancy like I'm
17:04
like a rock I'll sink to the bottom and when I get in the water so I actually
17:09
have to make it work for it I have to work for it when I have a life vest on I still have to work for it to stay above
17:16
which means you are a lean piece of meat very very least I have a very high
17:22
pregnancy amount whenever I would do the bobs at deep end I'm like please I just want to go down and I want to go down the house one and let me yeah yes and
17:30
legs are just like hanging upside you'll still drown you'll still drown but that's because your butt and the legs
17:36
are inverting me flipping over yeah exactly it was really fun though I feel like that would be a fun thing to do
17:42
with you too go through the cenotes and uh go like deep cave diving or whatever
17:47
it was really free GoPro we didn't we messed up and the whole time I was looking for one of those camera sleeves
17:55
the the little plastic water things that you could dip your phone underwater and at least take like a quick under the
18:00
water video but uh we'll have to save it for next time but we went to that we
18:05
went to a Muay Thai show and they had the fight with the Rope what is it
18:12
called it's called card Chuck oh [ __ ] yay have you ever seen like uh I
18:18
forget if it was kickboxer or Bloodsport but they had the rope and they wrapped
18:24
their hands with the rope and we had we watched people actually fight like that that's so cool it was insane I'm like
18:31
how much should I pay in you guys no seriously how much do they get paid I have no idea probably not enough pesos
18:38
not enough pesos on the dollar um definitely not enough but still
18:44
definitely an experience I probably would have done it before I got into the UFC um it was really cool to watch and I
18:51
ended up commentating on it so I barely had any like internet access
18:58
or Wi-Fi like it was it was terrible abroad yeah but I did see that hey I
19:04
made it on the commentary team that's awesome day of they were like hey here's
19:09
the mic I'm like okay cool I met some other UFC people who were just happened to be a down there and it was a really
19:16
fun night and then after that we went to um we kind of had an adventure we went
19:23
on a two-hour drive into the jungle and went to uh Chichen Itza which is like
19:30
the seventh have you you heard of that yeah it was stuck on my bucket list yeah it was it was insane it was so cool it
19:37
was this big ass Mayan temple in the middle of the Jungle and I think they
19:42
made it like this one of the seven wonders of the world or the seventh I don't know if there was six before maybe
19:48
now there's eight I don't know but it's a wonder of the world now and we were we
19:54
got to see that it was I couldn't walk up it obviously because it's all roped off but I wanted to I wanted to do the
20:01
Rocky Run right up the stairs pretend to sacrifice someone
20:08
but it was so cool walking around seeing the temple seeing like the buildings around it that are still standing you
20:15
can still see the reliefs of um just like warriors uh chiseled into
20:21
the wall like snakes taking out hearts and they were just really brutal people
20:28
and everything that they did was so like artistic and cool especially for that time and the fact that it's still
20:34
standing is insane I think I think it was like dated back to like the 1200s or
20:40
something crazy yeah it's insane so it was really cool to see that um and then the coolest part was in the
20:47
back where they had like this big Cenote and you couldn't get in this one and I think it's because they would throw
20:54
their sacrifices oh into the Cenote and it was funny reading the little plaque
21:00
it's like yeah they would throw like gold riches uh skull fragments from
21:05
children things like that like what excuse me did I read that right that
21:11
must not have been translated properly I still think they got to the point
21:17
uh there's like a flipping C with Mexican culture and death that we don't
21:22
have as Americans I think Day of the Dead and all that kind of stuff I think they handled us a little better than we
21:27
did differently yeah but it was really cool to just be able to experience that that was our last day there
21:34
um fortunately that night I had a plate of oysters and no Angela no you in
21:40
Mexico girl I know but we were in this fancy restaurant I'm like this place is
21:45
fancy I bet I could risk it all it's always the last night though thank
21:50
goodness it was the last night it's always the last night you get a little frisky you're like man I did great in
21:56
Mexico I didn't get sick once [Music]
22:03
and uh but uh the hotel we stayed in was gorgeous so the the country was gorgeous
22:10
it was really fun being out there my first time in that area like Cancun area so I had a good time heck yeah we had a
22:17
good time yeah awesome Adam actually had a good time he did he did he had a lot
22:24
of fun at the Mayan Temple because uh there were a lot of skulls and it's like something that he's been you know
22:31
studying for a while like an art and everything so it was really cool to be able to see that in person do we have
22:37
like a new like shirt SketchUp coming or like a new yeah there's got to be some sort of like inspo from that that he
22:44
could like oh yeah oh yeah I'm hoping so yeah fingers crossed I'm gonna put in
22:49
the in the request box yes so now I'm back and I don't know if
22:56
we talked about this but now I'm in fact yeah
23:01
how perfectly timed I was like I really hope that she's actually gonna go on vacation and like give that to herself
23:07
no I needed to and when I got the fight news it just lit the fire under my ass like okay go now because otherwise I
23:14
would just put it off put it off put it off and I hate waging like oh if I won
23:20
this fight then I'll go on a nice vacation blah blah blah it's like better to just do whatever you want before a
23:27
fight because you deserve it you know like work really hard and I really needed a reset and my first pad session
23:35
coming back my first conditioning session coming back I felt like a new athlete so it was cool I hit the reset
23:42
button now I'm ready to go good for you it's also why I can't sit down on the toilet today not because of Mexico but
23:49
because of like day so
23:54
it was definitely lowering myself down onto my tears today but it feels good
24:00
man feels good good I'm excited for that matchup yeah so uh in case you guys
24:05
don't know I'm fighting Denise Gomez um she is a Brazilian and I'm fighting
24:10
her in Sao Paulo
24:16
yes I can't wait for that chant I feel like I'm gonna like just make that my Mantra yeah fight Camp so when they hear
24:23
it I'll be like they're cheering for me exactly exactly they're behind me they know my Mansion
24:30
yes they are thank you I'm really happy to be here
24:35
too oh yeah it reminds me that reminds me of that uh
24:40
scene and coming to America when you think it comes out the window on YouTube
24:49
oh I love it it's a great movie yeah I love that movie so good it never gets
24:54
old it doesn't like it holds yeah you can always watch it and enjoy it did you watch part two
25:00
yeah we're not like super I like that it was nostalgic like you know it was I
25:06
love that there were the like original cast like I loved that part of it but I just it still felt like fan fiction yeah
25:14
but High budget fan fiction very very so you can't hate on it for that but the
25:20
original is definitely one of the best it's the best piece of art so should we
25:25
talk about some fights I mean I guess we have a little bit of time we have so much to get to and so little
25:32
fight that we've talked about already but um I guess I'll I'll mention the thing
25:39
that's on top of my mind did you see Max Holloway versus Korean zombie I cried
25:46
my eyes out literally from start to finish bawled my eyes out me too I feel
25:52
so much better knowing that other people were just like crying like a baby because as soon as the third was it the
26:00
second or third round it was third round right the third round started and he
26:06
just threw everything out the window and was like I'm the [ __ ] Korean zombie this is what I'm gonna do ah
26:13
my heart stopped I was just like he would zombie mode
26:20
from that moment on I just have tears in my eyes and it didn't matter what
26:26
happened after that moment whether you got a knock or whether you got knocked out I was bawling like crazy it was dude
26:34
look at you you're about to cry now you went talking about it with baby
26:40
I can't help it that I mean we were talking about uh Robbie Lawler's retirement fight and I
26:47
think uh this one is just in a totally different way an amazing way to go out
26:54
yeah you know he just the way that he flipped in the third round and came at
27:01
Max he had his moments too in that fight it wasn't just like a drubbing like a lot of people thought it was going to be
27:07
a lot of people were like why are we making this fight he's gonna get knocked out in the first round he came forward he he did his due diligence to take Max
27:15
out of there and Max was just too good and eventually he just said [ __ ] it you
27:20
know I'm gonna do what the fans love I'm gonna do what got me here in the first place and it was really like a beautiful
27:26
way to go out on your show like I know it's not what he wanted but as a fan I was just like it felt like the end of a
27:34
movie you know and then to watch him finally break down at the end of that
27:41
and they started playing his song and then he walks out and he hugs his wife
27:47
and the crowd is singing oh my God I was like tearing up now too oh I was just me
27:54
and Adam were watching it and we already knew what happened and I'm just on the couch hiding my face because I know he's
28:00
gonna talk [ __ ] and tears are falling down my face and he's like oh my God
28:06
Angela did you see that I was like yeah hahaha oh it was so emotional it really was and
28:14
I really felt like a wuss until I went online and I saw a lot of people had
28:19
that reaction like he just brings that out of people he is a true fighters
28:24
fighter and I don't know it was definitely more touching than I thought it was going to be when I saw the
28:31
matchup originally yeah he's one of those people that just put it all on the line every time he fought and he was
28:37
just such an amazing representation of the sport of what it is to be a mixed martial artist and
28:43
he's just he's a Class Act he is like any time that guy showed up I I wanted
28:49
to root for him yeah and even if he like won or lost I was still appreciative just because he would always put it on
28:55
the line we don't always you know like basically nobody in the sport really gets a retirement fight like a Robbie
29:01
Lawler right but I was thinking to myself I'm like if I you know how would I want to go out how would I want my
29:08
retirement fight to be and it would definitely I would want it to be against you know somebody who was a veteran
29:15
somebody who's you know uh been in the game like Max Holloway somebody that
29:20
could bring out the best in me like the best version of myself as a fighter and I think that's what that happened that
29:26
night and it was just it was beautiful it was it really was he actually
29:31
made me a proper fan of MMA because I'm
29:37
let me see I was just looking at um which fight it was that got me into it so 2010 Angela in 2010 I have been
29:45
training Muay Thai for about five months and we watched this fight with the team
29:51
him versus Leonard Garcia and I was like whoa this guy is crazy and then he lost
30:01
a split decision and I was like no this why would that happen that's insane but
30:07
I was such a fan of Korean zombie for that fight and just the way he took it to him and then he lost the decision I'm
30:13
like wow I can really care about someone who lost like that like this this is
30:20
something that I didn't expect because I'm a new fan to MMA I I didn't even
30:25
watch MMA before I started training Muay Thai I was doing it as a workout so at that point I didn't know anything about
30:30
fighting I'm like wow that's pretty insane and then I got to see him come back on the like two fights later and he
30:38
got the rematch against Leonard Garcia and then he beat the [ __ ] out of him and got her with a twister and me being new
30:46
to the sport still new to grappling and everything I didn't even know what he was doing to him but that just that
30:52
comeback story was one of the first things that made me a fan of just the
30:58
drama of MMA and how you can have stories and how you can have Heroes and how you can have people who just
31:05
put it all out there and leave it all in the cage and I think I'd watch a few fights before that and I didn't really
31:12
get it yet you know maybe they were too technical or maybe they were too uh there wasn't that much on the line but
31:19
when I saw him lose that fight and then come back and win such a crazy fashion
31:24
that really put me in the seat of like okay I'm an MMA fan now so
31:31
full circle is amazing to be able to watch that retirement fight uh I mean
31:37
Max looked amazing too obviously but it was one of those fights where the guy who lost ended up uh just outshining the
31:46
actual winner of the fight yeah and it's so rare that that happens like that doesn't that doesn't happen
31:51
and that speaks the level of you know who he is as a person who he is as a fighter
31:56
um yeah I think that we can just all like really appreciate and and remember like
32:02
him and what he's doing for the sport so that was that was really awesome
32:07
um anything else that happened on UFC Singapore I only caught like a handful of the fights but uh anything jumped out
32:15
to you from that card no honestly like it was all no I was just in such an
32:21
emotional state like it was just all about the main event you know like everything else just kind of faded away
32:28
for me I know it did it really did it did I I caught up on a couple of the fights like I saw a few Knockouts there
32:34
was one like crazy Knockout by this dude named Waldo he's like big old guy punched a guy turned around and flopped
32:42
on his face um but the one thing that I feel like people aren't really talking about that much that is actually kind of a big deal
32:49
was Aaron blanchfield versus uh Talia Santos and you know Korean zombie
32:55
retiring the placement of them on the card to I think it just kind of overshadowed that but it was actually a
33:03
pretty dramatic fight and the areas that I thought would really trip Blanche
33:09
filled out she actually did well with so the first round she was kind of getting
33:15
pieced up by Talia Santos she was Landing big leg kicks just like picking
33:20
her apart with straights and doing a really good job of keeping her takedown attempts away and then in the second you
33:27
can see Talia get a little tired and that's that blanchfield pressure like dude strong and she is a grinder yes she
33:36
is a grinder she is heavy she is pressure it's absolutely exhausting yeah
33:41
it's like that that wall that's like coming for you and like Indiana Jones
33:46
exactly so many Indiana Jones references stop it yeah she couldn't stop the wall
33:54
from coming at her so even though she was Landing clean on blanchfield she just has a chin like a cinder block she
34:00
was taking him coming for forward coming forward and then eventually uh forced
34:06
Talia to do a really sloppy takedown ended up on top of her uh grinded her
34:12
out that round and then third round more of the same just pushing her back Landing good strikes too I think uh you
34:19
know she was really able to hang on her and get her arms heavy and then Talia wasn't able to defend the head strikes
34:25
and the takedowns at the same time so a check like that is is really really hard
34:32
to beat you know like someone who's able to pressure and use their weight against
34:38
you and just take you out of your game because she totally made Talia play her
34:43
game and that's something that doesn't often happen to Talia like she beat the
34:49
crap out of Valentina shevchenko and luckily for septenko was able to still
34:54
win that fight but a lot of people feel like Talia should have been champion and
35:00
I think Talia Beats grassa so I feel a little bad for her after this fight that
35:06
was a tough person to fight with not that many with that not that much Stakes not that much uh you know eyes on it
35:13
either but blanchfield is going to the
35:19
top she earned that next line she has to she has to get the next title shot and it does it I I do feel for Talia because
35:27
I really wanted you know her to get her shot her rematch and now it just doesn't
35:32
seem like it's gonna happen anytime soon yeah because depending on you know the Grosso shipchenko like there's kind of
35:39
no there's no reason for it you know yeah but I think Aaron definitely deserves that call out for championship
35:46
for being on deck for a title shot um I don't I don't see anybody else like
35:52
really getting it except for her yeah I wouldn't be surprised if she was well
35:57
actually I would because that's right around the corner but I was gonna say I wouldn't be surprised if she was is on
36:03
standby she might put a title fight you never know she might be they are doing that lately
36:08
um like for the main events title fights they're always having somebody on Deck so you never know yeah and she didn't
36:15
really take that much damage she did get wobbled a bit in the first round but after that it was all forward traffic
36:20
for her so yeah I wouldn't be surprised if she showed up for that one um and I like her against either one of
36:27
those girls yeah I'm interested she's she's a gamer she can take people out of her game or out of their game and she
36:34
can make it grindy and messy and I mean she could match up pretty well to either one of them yeah when you deal with
36:41
someone who has that pressure and that don't give a fuckness that it's hard to Time stuff it's hard
36:47
to set up combinations it's hard to keep them on the end of your punches or kicks
36:52
because they just walk past them they walk through them react to the things that I'm throwing at
36:58
you I think most people react why aren't you reacting people don't some people don't some people just don't care and I
37:05
don't think she's taken that much damage in her career she usually gets people down lickety-split so she's gonna have a
37:13
channel on her for a long time I think so good for you Aaron no I'm excited to see what she does in the
37:19
division seriously yeah it's really exciting she's completely like shaking up the division in a really short amount
37:25
of time so I think it's really exciting yeah same same exciting stuff
37:31
um and then before you have seen UFC Singapore we had UFC 292. don't get me
37:38
started on this one oh my gosh I was watching this I was on base in
37:44
Honduras and and we were all watching it okay we like cleared out one of the Uso like uh like rooms so that I could watch
37:51
it before I know it all of these like military people are like sitting behind us and we're like
37:57
hey Jessica can you show me that aardvark and shut up about you
38:06
go to bed that's your bedtime what are you doing here that must have been fun watching it
38:12
with a bunch of military guys they were a hyped oh I bet they were hyped they were excited
38:19
um it was no it was an experience it was really exciting nice so I gotta ask you
38:25
go ahead what did you think about the main event
38:31
I know this is not a popular opinion but I think it was stopped a little bit
38:36
early eight I think you gotta give the champ an opportunity I don't think that's an
38:42
unpopular opinion because everyone with eyes said it really no a lot of people
38:48
said it really I again I have not been able to be online for two weeks really
38:54
so I have no idea what other people are thinking at this point but that's what what I thought well it was a couple like
39:00
a radio show I think Dean Thomas your boy Dean he said it was early
39:06
um the commentary team uh I forget who said it but one somebody on the
39:12
commentary team so it was early maybe it was Joe Rogan or someone um and if he says it then everyone else
39:17
says it so well it must be right it must be right I couldn't hear anything because I had like 50 troops behind me
39:22
screaming oh and like there was a DJ like trying and I like I kept asking I kept going up to the DJ booth and I was
39:28
like excuse me well
39:47
unfortunately that didn't work and you didn't hear it but it was sad it was
39:53
definitely said um you're not alone in thinking that and it's because you understand that a lot
39:59
of wrestlers react to being grounded in that way whereas if you're on your back
40:04
and you're a wrestler that's actually the most vulnerable that you feel when
40:10
you Turtle up that's when you actually have some defense going you're building up exactly you're building up it's like
40:16
the Dominic thing when he said thingy I was smoking cigarettes and alcohol only
40:21
with Doms it was less of a case because he was kind of getting punched as he was
40:28
building up and it looked like he was going back down and then building up and getting punched and going back down but
40:34
when and aljo's Clay case is a little more clean where he turtled and was
40:41
fully aware the entire time when he was getting hit and on his back but when he
40:46
turtled the referee saw that as him not fighting back exactly that's how
40:52
wrestlers get up exactly Turtle the knee slide they stand up yeah so I think that
40:57
was a little unfair for aljo but he definitely took it like a champ you know no he did
41:05
he um he said he felt like it was early but he was more mad at himself for
41:12
getting caught in the first place and that's a real thing we all know that that could happen if we get caught clean
41:18
if there's a moment where we're unconscious and then we wake up on the floor you know you got to do something
41:23
big to show the referee that you're still alive you're not getting hurt you're not like getting unnecessary
41:29
damage and he understood that part of the fight game and so he took it uh with
41:35
Grace but it did feel a little early especially for a championship fight you
41:41
got to give the guy a chance to to build to do whatever he's planning on doing in
41:46
order to come back and win that round but one thing I'll say is that it did look like the fight was gonna go in
41:53
O'Malley's favor anyway because he was just proactive in the first round he
42:01
seemed to make alja very cautious like more cautious than normal it was
42:06
impressive how he controls the range I mean he's he's a big bantamweight he uses his range really well
42:14
um and that's how you know he ended up catching aljo coming in for that takedown um but I just I I wanted to I needed to
42:22
see more because I felt like he was going to figure it out yeah and if anything after getting dropped the first
42:28
time you see the danger that is present and you can find a way around it I think
42:34
in the first round he was so cautious that he never felt anything from
42:40
O'Malley like he got a cup ate a couple leg kicks a couple tips but he never
42:45
really went into the danger zone to see what was going on sometimes he got to get hit to start fighting and
42:52
unfortunately he got hit and the fight was over so that's the way I hit myself while walking out there you go there you
42:58
go get a little slap going sometimes I like yeah get a nice little slap in
43:04
there sometimes I like to get just a couple punches to the forehead to wake
43:10
up or do a tiny bit of sparring and you need that you need that sometimes it
43:17
still doesn't work sometimes it's still under you're like oh [ __ ] oh it's a fight oh is that what
43:23
we're doing now okay wait a second I wasn't ready yet thanks okay okay I thought we were I thought we were
43:29
learning the moves like when you're playing a fighting game you just wait wait wait wait wait how do you throw the
43:35
fireball yeah yeah exactly and then they start like yeah they start going before you're ready on gentlemen like uh
43:43
platform bad form indeed so who do you think gets the shot next do you think aljo gets the rematch I know they're
43:50
like kind of there's a lot of drama right now at the top of the division
43:55
it's yeah I that was going to be my question to you so there's
44:01
marab who that's you know was going to you know potentially be next after aljo
44:07
won he was going to vacate this like it didn't work out that way but I could definitely see morab being next right um
44:14
I although I don't quite think that he's next in line I think Cheeto Vera could
44:20
probably petition for it although he's I mean he beat Munoz but he lost badly
44:27
before so I just I don't know where he is but I know he's a name people want to see him right so maybe he could be like
44:35
one of those one of those thoughts and then sanhagen um wait what do we just wait what would
44:41
you see yeah sanding is one of them thank you he's the one in the mix in 35.
44:51
um but yeah that's where I'm kind of seeing as being next right um I don't I don't know I just feel like
44:58
unless it was in all Joe's contract to get an immediate rematch which often it
45:04
is um I could see one of those two getting it next well I don't think it's in the
45:09
contract because or maybe it is but aljo is saying that he needs time off and
45:17
he's he's saying that he can't fight again this year it has to be early next year or something like that
45:24
and Dana is like he is not in a place David's like all right bud we're moving
45:31
on no for sure yeah like he's not he's not one of those people that's gonna
45:36
gonna get any Grace he's never he's never really been you know
45:41
given I think the respect and and the dues that that he has earned
45:47
um and I think that he will get passed up if he pulls that card for sure like the division is not waiting for him especially because they have this money
45:55
train this gravy boat of a champion now and Sean O'Malley so his stardom
46:01
I know I know it's hard it's hard really hard it's hard for us old ladies it's it
46:08
takes accept away the kids the change in things these days oh my goodness I just
46:16
if no no not even if I would not have any problem with this if O'Malley's fans
46:23
were more respectful thank you it's only his fans he seems like no no a sweet
46:32
stop yourself young boy stop yourself have you heard what you said well he
46:37
says dumb things but a lot of huge audience he says dumb things but a lot of our
46:43
friends who we love and cherish [Music]
46:50
we have so many there's so many of our guy friends are your friends dumb as
46:56
rocks you go to your house more than I do
47:02
oh this oh this well you gotta love them you gotta love the the little scamps little
47:09
Knuckleheads yeah and and it's not O'Malley it's his fan base that drive you crazy okay so okay
47:19
um so he was quoted in saying let me let me get your opinion on this okay okay yeah let's go so he has said he makes
47:28
the money he's the breadwinner so he can cheat and his wife and his wife agrees
47:35
his wife is okay with this I think we should go to a break
47:41
and then yeah just have a moment I I need to I need to digest that yeah
47:47
that's a lot of stain so that's not the only thing that he said too I I'll oh yeah I'll say more okay all right let's
47:53
cycle analyze this little nutcase of the champion when we come back if you didn't
47:59
subscribe to Fight Pass do it so you can hear our Saucy conversation and if not
48:05
we'll just see you next time yeah bye [Music]
