Garlic Mashed Potatoes Recipe
Introduction:
Garlic Mashed Potatoes are a creamy, flavorful side dish that adds a delicious twist to traditional mashed potatoes. Infused with the richness of garlic and butter, this dish is perfect for pairing with roasted meats or as a comforting accompaniment to your favorite meals.
Ingredients:
4 large russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup heavy cream (or milk for a lighter version)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions:
Boil the potatoes: Place the cubed potatoes in a large pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.
Infuse garlic and butter: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.
Mash the potatoes: Mash the boiled potatoes using a potato masher or hand mixer.
Combine ingredients: Pour the garlic-infused butter and cream into the mashed potatoes. Continue mashing until the potatoes are smooth and creamy.
